WHAT?

Oh, OK here are some pictures of the progress for this weekend.

First pic you see me willing the sawsall to come to me so I can cut on the rear deck panel.

Then it installed.

Here is the start of the stininger.

I also changed the rear third from 5.71's to the 5.29's and welded the armor on that was sitting in a box on the shelf.

Last one is of the dog cage sitting on the new deck.

Hey Mark,  good to see you like the removable exo,  now people wont think im crazy.  Do you have any drawn up plans on your desighn,  curious where your connection points will be, and what you use to connect with.  Have you thought about doing a front clip also that will protect that pretty hood and fenders?  Thats kinda what i was planning a 3 piece,  one for each side and a clip to protect the hood,  but Ive got tubed fenders up front to mount too..

PS where did you get the rubber blocks on your hood for your windsheild to rest on?

The rubber blocks are Marlins bump stops with the ears cut off. Drilled and tapped for 5/16" bolts.

I have one fender bar made that ties into the stinger, but ran out of material.

I plan to use some U clamps made out of 1/4"x 2 flat bar that have a thru bolt behind the cage. This way the bolts can be taken out and the EXO will slide off.

Plans  I'm making this up as I go along.

We worked on it all last week and was able to get the 5.29 gears back it the front as well.

:sheerterror: Mrsw ran the lathe and made up the bushings for the EXO while I worked on building the 3rd.

No body got hurt or killed in the process so that is all good.

Started making progress on the EXO, but had to take it for a test run.

The Jeep club was having a night run and thought it would be fun to go test it out for a while.

Holy...is that the final position for the stinger??!!
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

of course you go and do that now MRW.  I was thinking about doing a removable exo on my runner and was hoping that I was going to be the first.  Its in my shop right now and I haven't gotten to my exo yet.  Most people around here think I'm crazy for wanting an exo but once I repaint my truck I don't want to trash the body and at the same time don't want an exo all the time.  I'm probably not going to have it done by the time the roundup comes up so I'll have to give yours a good inspection and copy some ideas if you don't mind.

:therethere:  There's that green eyed monster rearing it's head again. Don't be jealous just cause you're driving a Junkarai now, we can't all be cool.
that exo is BAD! I hope the stinger is at a good angle, we were following Marlin's picture at the top and in his ads. I'll have to get a picture from the angle that his picture is at.

And Gotrocks we'll let you inspect and copy for a small surcharge  :bling:   :hahaha: JK, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
