well Oddmar came down for the Gilmer run and WOW it was muddy.

my brakes were nonexistent in the old axle so Jake helped me get my rear changed to the wider 86-95 rear housing (i had already bought ifs brake pads almost a year ago)

once i find out why photobucket wont let me upload i'll post some pics

Thanks to AJ aka Cteng in KS for the Ubolt flip plates,  they have shock mounts on them and i swapped sides so the shocks are on the rear of the axle so they dont interfere with the cable on the elocker

I really like them u-bolt plates
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

no,  its a bad bearing I fear.  when it gets to running hot (200* is hot for this engine/radiator) it really pulls the power down.  probably from 170hp  down to maybe 100hp

good news is :disturbed: its time for a 20/22 hybrid :eyebrow:

I was just gonna toss those 4 or 5 20R motors in the scrap, is there anything you want me to strip out of them?

I know there are SOME useable parts but with all the 22R motors i'm moving (7? 9?)i was wondering if it was worth the trouble?

basically I'll need everything but the 20R block, try and bring all the heads and intakes. cause the 20R  head and intake manifolds are getting hard to come by.
