That looks clean. Nice enough to restore to stock.

I had an 85 that same faded blue. We called it the smurf. This just brought back all the regret I felt when the guy I sold it to cut it into a bare shell of a cab to build a mud truck that he never built. Please restore this truck. It looks to be a good candidate.

I would love to restore it but I already have an 82 long bed i am working on restoring... but the plan is to do a clean build and not to destroy her in the rocks but the price was right and i have been looking for a truck to build... if you guys are concerned i am willing to sell or trade

This ^ sound like a good plan to me. Its not like its one of those pristine near mint trucks/4runners you see people cutting up and turning into crawlers, That is hard to watch.  I do think you should restore those white steel wheels though  :smokin:

Test fit the 35s

They clear the rear fine but the front is turned as far as it can go...

i ordered a drop hanger to move the axle forward as well as shackles for both front and rear

Leafs look flat too might want to slap some OMEs on there.

Beautiful truck!

Rears up front, go ahead and do cross over steering. You'll be golden.

Thanks

Going to do high steer as soon as I get my hands on a IFS steering box.

As far as suspension goes I will probably go with rears up front for now and either OME or All Pro in the long run

Remember by doing rears up front it I'll move the axLe roughly 3" forward. You'll have to shorten the push pull link or go ahead and do your cross over.

I wont do the rears up front until i have cross over steering first... for now i am just doing the drop hanger and shorten the stock draglink to get the truck driveable
