Started working on plating the inside of the cab yesterday, got all the old carpet pulled out and the seats. Got a new pair of seats going in and i'm going to duraback/line X/ whatever.. the inside the of the cab..  anyone ever just put that sh*t over the rubber stuff that's stuck to the inside of the floor?  I really don't grind/chip all that stuff away if I don't have to.

so long as its cleaned properly, you can put that pliable bedliner on anything.  If its rigid epoxy-like bedliner, it needs to be a solid surface.  I used Herculiner to line my pond cuz it goes on anything and flexes a little

btw, Id give a little more clear area around the shifters to allow for drivetrain flex, maybe 3" dia at each hole.   when your in crawl gears the dt can move atleast an inch unless you have solid mounts on everything.  Maybe this is only the roughest of cutouts and your already going there

 yea i just wanted to get it lined up, still gotta make holes bigger.. ran out of time last night.. i'll have it finished tomorrow and hopefully start on the bedliner.

thank's for the tip w/ the herculiner maybe i'll give it a try, any idea on how much i'll need? i'm going to the entire floor board all the way to the back minus the tailgate.

Im guessing 2 gallons.  1 might get it all, but you might want a 2nd coat in some areas. 
I want to line the inside of my doors and fenders for sound and insulation, not to mention the floorboard

got the hole covered might have to trim a little more but it'll work. cleaned inside of the cab.. waiting for my seats to arrive and i ordered sliders...time to put some work in to get this b*tch ready for MCR.

spent all day getting my new seats in.. i'm still having shifting issues that's got me stumped... truck will not go into 2wd and now it'll only stay in low range on the crawl box if I hold the shifter into gear.. once I let off it pop's back into neutral... the t-case will go over to the 2wd gear side only if I move the shifter into the "neutral pattern" then move it over.. I can't go strait from 4 high into 2wd.. like your suppose to... gonna call Marlin tomorrow and see what they have to say.. I dont want to commit to MCR until I can get this into 2wd reliably... not driving 3+ hr's to the Rubicon in 4 wheel drive....

rock sliders came today, gonna wait until I get the t-case issue fixed before I start mounting them.

So I pulled the cases out, looking over a "how to" guide on installing duals I pulled the hex bolts that hold the detent ball and spring. There's no spring in either side of the t-case that I can tell.. no detent ball either.. ? .... the crawl box has a spring but it's jammed so far in I can't get it out.

I think that's part of the problem because the shift forks move forwards and backwards too easy... nothings holding them into place.

Gonna order new springs and go from there...

I think I have springs and detent balls etc. I will look tonight. Am I still pulling those cases apart for you this weekend?

EDIT sounds like we just need to get the springs and shifters figured out.

yea it depends keith, if this fix's it then i'll slap it back in and it'll be good to go.. do you have a tap and die set?  I need to retap stripped threads in the crawlbox and all the bolts that hold the shifters into place where stripped as well...

also i ordered the springs and detent balls from marlin... should hopefully be here within the next few days.

I have a ton of taps not many in the metric flavor but you could tap it to whatever common bolt size you want. I don't have dies but you wouldn't need those.

tackling sliders today, got them in place and tacked.. pulled them back off so i could fully weld them.. now hitting them with a coat of paint.. i should have the passenger side completely done today.. doubt i'll get to the driver..

dropped my duals off at kdubs house yesterday hopefully get that situation figured out soon.

I finished welding the passenger side slider on... got the left side mounted in place... looks like the crossmember mounts on the frame rails are in the way so ill have to move the tub.. no big deal... coming along.. i've got pic's.. i'll upload them later.

driver side is welded, just gotta hit it with some paint tomorrow and weld it to the frame.

... i had planned on plating the frame where it attached but i forgot so ... meh... whatever... when it breaks i'll fix it.

ya ya ya!   driver will be done after work today, hopefully tomorrow or friday we'll have the t-case ready to be slapped back in..  then i'll need to replate over all the shifters... fix the front bumper so it'll fit.... get a stereo installed.... remount the rear seat... herculine the cab.... list grows as time get's shorter!

my luck i can't find a d*mn shift rail for the crawlbox... the search continues!

gonna mount the front bumper today and maybe get a new stereo/speakers in so i've got sometihng to listen to on the way up.

.. i'll feel alot better when the t-case is back in and shifting correctly.

Big thanks the garlicgabe for sending me the shift rail I need. Now we patiently wait for the package. In the mean time.. stereo and getting the front bumper mounted so I can put my winch on.

I need to get everything together next week to the point where it's driveable so I can load up and see if I need to trim anything... the tires rub the fenders right now but not bad enough that I couldn't just deal with it... but loaded up... i'm not sure.
