Sounds like you need to call and talk to Marlin or Mike on this.  Or maybe take a day off, and schedule time to get it to them so Marlin can work his magic on it.

How does it not go into into 2wd? I bench tested those cases and cut the shift rail, really weird. I need to come mess with it and see what it's doing in the rig now.

Shamb

Yea I know bro, we tested it before we put it in, the second I slapped it in it wouldnt go.. BUT.. i think i fixed it.

When I pulled the shifter and rotated it I noticed that the two shift rails weren't matching up.. when you trasfer from 2wd to 4hi you move the shifter down and over... matching them both up.. then you can push the shifter forward (shift rail backwards) into low range... so I put the shifter into 4 high, pulled the shifter back out.. put it into 2wd and shifted it into position so it would match up with 4 high. Then I pulled the shifter again.. put it back into 4 high and put it into place..

wah-lah!  worked fine... i took my daughter for a spin real quick just to make sure.. I also ordered my fill plug for the t-case, should be here soon... i'm going to go for a long drive tomorrow just to make sure it works correctly...
I know that something is still not right when shifting from 2wd over to 4 high but all gears still work so i'm not really that worried about it right now...

I also got the rear seat bolted back in.. gonna try and get the front bumper and winch on tomorrow, maybe take it over to Curt to get a rear bumper on before Saturday.

Gonna do a few small things like mount my powertank and fire extinguisher. Toss the spare in and maybe some spare parts/tools.

Before MCR i'll have the inside of the cab herculined... still need to plate the shifters as well... have decided if i'm going to commit to doing it correctly or just make something for the round up and deal with it when i have more time after...

Sweet fordyce this weekend. Be there.

Shamb

Rear bumpers not going to happen before Fordyce, i'll be heading over to get the front bumper tweaked and mounted tomorrow so I can wire up the winch.

Plated the shifters today, just a "get me by" for now until I can commit a day or so to plating it correctly.

Still need to fill my tank up for Saturday and toss some tools in the rig.. i'll be ready to roll. Going to be the first trip in 4-5 years, excited to get back on the trail and bring the family with me.

Patiently awaiting my plug for the t-case, had to tighten the stock one with vice grips because it's rounded to hell.

Got a sick child in the house today as well...

Just got back from the maiden voyage, hit Fordyce with kdub. Overall the rig did great.. no major damage just a few small fix's.

Rear fenders need to be trimmed, they rub like a mofo. Popped a bead about a mile before I got the first crossing (heading out)
Starter either got stuck or is taking a sh*t when i stopped at the first crossing to say hi to some friends I haven't seen in awhile. Also my exhaust is pushed all the way up against the cab so the back seat got hot as hell and rattling against the cab was pretty annoying...

Got a little carnage on the driverside rear fender coming into committee on the knarly section before the river crossing... laid it over on a rock. Did the same coming down the top of winch hill 1.. right above the fender.

I've obviously been out the game too long because that trail seems to have gotten a hell of alot harder. Nearly every rig I passed was on ton's and coilovers... lol...

Here's a few pictures.

Teaching my daughter how to check to ensure bolts are tight before we get back on the road from being on the trail all day long. She loved it.

Dry humping rock carnage. This angle doesn't look that bad...

Then this... lol..

I'll have everything buttoned up for MCR, two weeks to get as much done as I possibly can so it's ready to roll.

Thanks kdub for showing me how to access the trail through committee!

All us "leaf spring dudes" wish we where "coilover dudes" ... so no worries!

It was kinda odd getting used to driving a full bodied rig on springs after wheeling my 82' PU that was chopped on coilovers... I got to experience that "lifted tire feeling" all over again... I couldn't take all the hard lines and go over 4-5' rocks without worry.

Forgot to mention, I never had to use the winch once... I know I submerged it in water atleast once so i'll be testing to make sure it works before heading to MCR.

Enough chatting, I gotta get out into the garage and get to work!

I also taught him how to put in 5min of hard work and then spend 15min staring and admiring what you have done...

Shamb

Yea it really is AaronB, been 5 years too long...

So today I used the BFH to clear the front fenders a little more where I could see it rubbing. Tightened all the bolts, put my new fill plug into the t-case. Removed the rear tires and clearanced the rear fenders as much as I could (before i'll have to cut them.. which i'm trying to avoid)

Made a mount for the powertank in the back, got my trail toolbox together, a wiring box together and some misc stuff I may need. Pulled out the tent..made sure everything was there, got all the extra fluids packed up, removed the side panels in the back so I can stuff things in the fender wells.. extra storage!

Just got a rough idea how much stuff i'll be taking and how much room I have.. looks like I may need to condense a few things down a bit to make some more room.

Ordered parts for rock lights, gonna go over to the auto parts store here in a few to get some extra u-joints and a starter because mine started acting up at fordyce... also gonna get some heat wrap for the exhaust.. might just cut it off and completely redo it from the muffler back... ah.. and the rear bumper still needs to be made.

List grows as time get's shorter!

wen't and bought the tubing i'll need for the rear bumper.. couldn't locate the right size exhaust but i'm gonna swing by a muffler shop and see what they got.. or what they'll charge to just do it for me real quick tomorrow... just needs a few bends from the muffler to the back of the rig... maybe 5'
