Neato....I'll buy that then.  haha.  I just wanted to make sure everyone understands that it's not gross.  It's not like a cess pool in our front yard.  LOL.  It'll actually blend right in with our front yard and you won't even know it's there.  It doesn't get all icky or anything, it'll just be part of the yard.

I'm just about ready to leave work and go get some neato new pics!!  My dad called me with an update earlier and said the Pergo should be done by the time I get home.
RIP Kyle, we love and miss you man.  :smooch:

That would be a typical septic system, you should (if you actually could) see the leach field here at work for the car wash. it covers the entire front of the entrance, then there's a septic system and before that there is a clarifier system for recycling and reusing the car wash water within the car wash itself. We's a green car wash. Of course it is only the car wash that recycles not the bathroom.  :ack:

It would be considered a leach field, from the septic tank you will run the leach lines that the excess water is "leached" into and allowed to dissipate into the sand.

The kitchen came!!!  :willynilly:  Along with our bathroom vanities!  I LOVE it, it's exactly what I wanted.  It's maple with a hazelnut glaze and goes really well with the floors.

I don't have time right now to look up the direct links but check out the bucket!

I like all the outlets in the kitchen, I hate it when there's only 2 or 3 outlets in a kitchen.

Thanks everyone!  Sorry I haven't been around much....I can't seem to get on Marlin from work anymore.  Today I'm using this funky site that lets me surf the web *through* it, so I can get here but it's funky and there are tons of pop-up ads and stuff.

We're holding up pretty well actually.  The new timeline is looking more like early December now.  A few of the kitchen cupboards weren't the right size and it's going to take 10 days to swap them out for the right ones.  Then, after the kitchen is completely put together, the countertop guy will come do the measurements, and it takes about 2 weeks after the measurements for the counters to actually be ready to install, so that already puts us at the very end of November.  They'll be able to get a lot of the small trim work done between now and then so the counters should be one of the very last things, but I'm sure there will be some small finish work that needs done after the counters go in, like putting the faucets on and stuff.

We're going with granite, and the sinks will be built right in!  I guess they got a pretty good price for the kitchen plus both bathroom vanities!

They got all of the woodwork stained and hopefully today they started putting it up.  They did say they were going to start hanging doors today too, and staining the oak stairs.

:wiggle:

We miss you too Jilli!  :smooch:

Here's the updated kitchen, we're still missing 3 cupboards, but they got the crown molding up around the top of it and the back trim piece on the bar:

And they got the interior doors hung, the stairs stained, some of the wood trim up, and the banisters up!

More banisters...

Appliances are being delivered on Friday, and the countertop guy is coming to do the measurements either Friday or Monday!  :D

Sounds pretty cool, Trunkz!  Thanks!

Well they got the middle railing set on Thursday...then the appliances came on Friday.  *KINDA* wished they woulda waited on setting that middle railing!  Kinda ticked me off too because I thought I drew the house a little better so we wouldn't have any problems with moving stuff in and out.  The fridge was a MAJOR bizznatch to get up the stairs, but they did it and it's in there.  The contractors didn't want them to set the kitchen appliances where they go, so they're all just congregated in the dining room for now.

We also picked up all of the lights, and $113 worth of light bulbs!!  :thud:

So I have kind of an issue with the fridge.  I was completely unaware that not all of them are completely stainless steel the whole way around.  And the whole one side of our fridge will be exposed to the living area.  They had such a hard time getting the damned thing in, I'm certainly not making them take it back...plus fully stainless steel ones are a lot more expensive.  So we're going to have to work around it.  Anyone got any fancy ideas?  The fridge will stick out quite a bit further than the cabinets, so a piece of wood trim coming straight down from the cabinets above won't even cover half of the fridge.  I thought about just putting a nice decorative magnet on it.  LOL.  Also I think there might be options for some sort of film that would give it a stainless look?  The side of it is like a dark gray, and it's not completely butt-ugly or anything.  I guess it's not the end of the world.  haha

Check the bucket for the pics!  When you're looking at the kitchen, the fridge will be at the far left of the kitchen in the picture, and it'll be the first thing you see along that short wall.
