Sunday they started the prep work for doing the stone on the front.  They had to nail up wire mesh, then put on a "scratch coat" of morter.  So now that will get all set up, and this coming Friday they're going to start putting the actual stone on.

Well they couldn't start the stone on the front because my dumb :moon: forgot to order corner pieces, and now we're waiting on those.  BUT, they did get a lot more siding done, including the cedar shake on the front of the bumpouts which I LOOOVE.

Geothermal system is in, electricians came and went (we should have power in 7-10 days), plumbing has been done for awhile, and the insulators came and went on Tuesday of this week.  Monday of next week.....DRYWALLERS!!  :woohoo:

  Thanks guys!!   :D

Well there was a holdup on the drywallers, and they just started today.  The fireplace went in last week, and all of our veneer stone came in and was delivered.  Oh and we have POWER!  Just to one receptacle near the breaker box for now because the electrician has to come back and actually put the receptacles and fixtures in after the drywallers leave.

We had a cute little OWL visitor last week!  hahaha.  It was the cutest little thing, it was perched up in the rafters in the living room and sat there watching the guy put the fireplace in all day.  LOL.  Of course he left us at dark time and we haven't seen him since.  :(

Here are some updated pics, but you can always see them all at http://photobucket.com/brianandjansnewhouse.

Drywall begins! (see photobucket for a couple more)

The masons were eager to start as soon as the stone got delivered, but unfortunately they got rained out this weekend.  Hopefully they'll be able to get started this coming weekend.

They're telling us to figure on the end of November for moving in.  I'm trying my best to be patient!  The basement living is getting really old, but of course you can't beat free rent!

:rivers:   whaaaaa??   I love the fireplace!   It's a propane one and it's going to be beeeaauuutiful!  I don't want to have to deal with chopping and storing wood and lugging it into my living room.   We don't NEED it for heat, I just wanted it for the ambiance.  Yes, that's right....I said ambiance.

I know all about the Ambiance, I just hate gas fire places. I know all about the work involved with them, but when it comes time for Ambiance :bumpinbutts: it takes a whole lot less time to get a gas fire place going.

Regardless things are looking GREAT

They started the stone today but then we had the wrong stinking morter.  Always something!  LOL.  Anyway we got them the good stuff by the end of the day so they'll be working all day tomorrow.
