Im moving the ingine back an inch for pulley/electric fan clearance.  I finally tracked down the pictures of the heep.  I should be getting them this weekind.  Funny thing about that whole deal is the kid only had about 5000 miles on it and his dad had no idea he was gonna compete!  It was the finniest thing ever!  The poor kid was stepp'n and fetchn' trying to figure out how to explain it to his dad.  I almost felt sorry for him.....almost!

How are you going to shift that top shift crawl box behind a W-56 without a forward shifter provision?  I guess you could engage it and leave it engaged...or convert to top shift...

WHITE_TRASH

Thats easy Im using a 91' W56 it is forward shift  :slap:

you know once you get it done and wheel it in calrocks u will end up starting again on coil springing it or puttin in a v8 or something else, the mods never end.
If you didn't make it, and it ain't broke, you didn't try hard enough.

Hey WT  lets see a pic of the bottom of the truck! you know , the important stuff & how much ground clearance that things gonna have
all i want is a little more than i'll ever get!!

WHITE_TRASH

I will when the crossmember is done.  It will be done tomorrow.  I almost finished it but I ran out of steel.  With this crossmember I wont have a perfectly flat belly :(  I missed it by 1 inch.  But this one is only a temp anyway I wanna drive it!!!  I also put a header on it, freebie!  Im not sure what brand it is but its a chrome tri-y w/ no emmisions provissions at all.

Thanx for the kind words guys.  Brainless Im not sure if that statement will still hold true after June 18th. ;)  I plan on driving like I usually do.....with reckless abandon!  Ive got a feeling its gonna get rolled.  Last year I watched a kid roll his daddys new rubicon 2 1/2 times.  That was great.  Even better was the look on his face when he got it back over and looked at it!
WT

I'll either be spotting or running video. I'm working on mounting the camera in the passanger seat for the snow run on the first.
Maybe well I'll have a rc cam that we can put in you truck by june.

I am cutting the rockers off to save a little weight over just hammering them up.  I had no idea the rockers were held on so dang good!!  It is one hell of an operation, ive had to use most of the weapons in the shop just to get one and it still tool about an hour!  I shoulda just gone to the shop and used the plasma.  I think Im gonna do that for the floor mods!

it'll survive in my t-maxx it'll live in your truck

I hate the way this turned out!  :unhappy: But there is a bright side like I said this is only temporary!  Im going to reengineer the mount setup asap.  What I have now is 1/2 in. plate welded to the bottom of the frame that I tapped for 1/2 13 thread.  The crossmember itself is 1 in. sq. 1/8th wall.  I used the factory mount on the transfercase and cut the matching area out of the factory crossmember.  Welded the bars on both side of the middle plate and voila!  Instant crossmember.  Its kinda funny I have put a couple hours into designing and building this and it is not what I want at all.  The cases are in the correct spot but I havent gained jack for clearance.  Im going to make a 1" body lift out of solid nylon so I can tuck everything up tighter and modify this setup.  Damn I waste a lot of time!
