Yes it is what it is.  I made a bunch of money off of parting the rig out though so it didn't hurt all that much. 



Howdy Jimbo, long time to type.  From your avatar it looks like you've gotten into r/c's.  I've always had them around but finally got semi serious last year.  Now I've got a few AR60 axles rigs that are way over built and all but indestructible.

As you can see by my avatar I have gone back to basics too, had to sell my red truck and motorhome to survive during a rough patch, bought a stock 85 runner which I lifted just a pinch and take it places it should not be able to go. I want to put in a rear locker lift it a pinch more and plan on making it an expedition rig instead of a hardcore rig.

Here's a quick run down of my time away.


I picked up a 78 long box for $100.  Traded a free 97 blazers 4.3 straight across for a 20/22r hybrid with a single side draft weber, LCE pro header and slapped it together.  I drove it for a couple years and just sold it this last summer.

I finished the post now but yes, I certainly have been doing it for cheap.

I made money on the green truck, the red truck cost me $1300 to buy once my nephew and his almost brother in law spent a bunch of money into it.  The silver truck I have almost nothing into so far.  I seriously have less than $100 into it.

It's not a bad site but there are some people that just don't get it on there.  It's almost like yota tech for two wheel drives.
