Yeah Rimrock will suck now.  I can't believe how wide mine is now with the 42's on 15x12 (because of weld on beadlocks) with 2.5 b/s on. I just bolted on my buddy's 42's since mine are out on loan and I was like crap I'm nearly 18" wider than tall.  It'd be insanely wide.

Not the best picture but you get the idea.  Only an 1" is covered by the fender.

Hmm never thought of it like that...  On 42's it was 81" wide and 74" to the top of the padding on the cage.....  Now it'll be wider and hopefully around 72" tall this time...

Axles are in.  I need to put some 5* caster shims in the front and extend the shock hoops and finish a few things with the brake system.  it's getting closer. :D

Damned truck is gonna be BIG.....  The sheer size of the axles themselves mean the truck is going up a lot...  Going to have to redo my suspension in the front I can see that already.

I'm Pretty sure you're right about that...   Before I swapped axles the rear end of the sliders was at 23" from the floor and the front was 26" sitting on the tires.  As it sits now the rear of the slider is 24" and the front is 25" so it is up one in back and down one in front.  That's pretty close to where I'd like it to be when it's done but the center of the rear hub is only 18" from the ground and the front is 13"...  Pretty sure the 44's will raise it some :hahaha:

Oh and the inside edge of the front rotors are about even with the outside edge of the sliders....  holy crap it's gonna be a wide biotch!  :o

Bit of an update..  Reworked the front springs, now they have less than an inch of arch to them.  Redrilled the front mount to drop the spring position about an inch and moved it forward another inch.  Cut the old steering box mount off the frame, cut the old bumpstops off too.  Also extended the shock hoops 3" higher to handle the new lowered suspension.  Also noticed that when I origionaly welded the shock mounts on the passenger side is mounted leaned back about 2" and and about 2" too far in.  I'll cut that off tomorrow and redo it correctly this time. :hahaha:

No doubt, and the wheels even thought they are 4" backspaced only cover the rotor, that's it...  Gonna be a wiiiide pregnant dog with those fatty 44's on there.  :o

:gap: 33's how cute...

I got some more done last weekend but my 'puter went haywire... Actually the screen took a dookie but thats another story...

Built teh new core support out of 1 3/4x.120 and the plates are 10 gauge.  I used stud type shock bushings to mount the radiator to them so it should not see enough vibes to rear it apart being mounted solid to the chassis.  I also mounted the power steering resivoir and figured out some wiring stuff.  The coil is mounted, a power distribution setup is in place and the overflow is mounted as well.

I also picked up a couple diff covers from copperheadfab.com.  Once I get them assembled I'll have a solid set of covers and a place to mount my steering ram to.

Just got home.. I'll snap some pics of the wife's work on the calipers.. Damn if they don't look SWEET all pearl disc'd smooth where she ground them down..  the truck will be on it's feet tonight.  the beadlocks still haven't showed up so I'll just mount the tires on teh wheels so I can stare at it like a retard then break them down when the rings get here.  :hahaha:

Just got home this afternoon and had to get some work done...

Peanut ground the calipers down and she finished the last one tonight.  turned out sweet. :D

I decided to mount up the tires now rather than wait for the beadlocks to get here.. I'll break down the outer bead when that get hear that'll be fun...     Here you can see my lead grinder operator finishing the passenger caliper and mount.

And an overall.  I think it looks pretty damned good.  At the front of the slider it's 27 1/4" and at the rear it's 25 3/4".  Not as low as I'd hoped for but when I link the front I'll drop it down some more.

Oh.. You like my pink giraffe print brrom?  That sweet baby only set me back $2 at biglots. :gap:
