Ok thanks for the help guys im gonna experment with the droping the front hangers a little bit and moveing them forward about an inch and a half and see if that fixes my shackle angle and ill prob end up doing lift shackles too later on for some more lift and flex.
Thanks guys im gonna start my mazda swap this weekend if i can find some springs from the local salvage.
Do i need too redrill the spring holes in the mazda springs or will the axel be in the same spot.
Thanks guys

Hey White Trash do you have any pics of your flame glowing in the dark.

Isuzu Rodeo rear disk brake,

I took some but they didnt turn out for $h!t.  I need to repaint the whole rig anyway.  This round was just a quicky to see how the paint was gonna turn out.  The next time Ill hose the paint on instead of just covering up the white.  At the same time Ill redo the flames a whole lot bigger!  They will also show up way better cause the ones that are on there now are kinda thin.

WHITE_TRASH

So ya think thats pretty bad huh.  Im VERY glad I decided to de-grease everything today!  When I got the truck I gave everything a once over.  Guess I didnt pay that close of attention huh?  But I do remember being glad to see it had decent pads left :)

WHITE_TRASH

I put those on the big truck the lil one is staying stock unless I find a better setup real cheap aka free.  Till then I have LOTS of stock stuff to burn through.  Although I do have an idea for the big truck considering its gonna get tow rig duties soon, that would free up all the goodies already done to those axles....Hmmmm it might end up with it pretty soon ;)

You could of got a couple more thousand miles out of that rotor or mybe just a couple miles out of it. You better watch out about taking off all that grease,  dirt and grime, sometimes its what holds those little trucks together

going to pull the body off the "big" truck and drop it on a chev. truck?
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

WHITE_TRASH

Nope the body and frame are gonna stay connected on this one.  Heck I just got the darned thing about where I want it except I know I can blow a yota axle anytime I want to.  Im thinking very "outside the box" on this one.  Heres a hint; the 3rd's arent going anywhere. :)

A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

WHITE_TRASH

LOL not exactly.  Nope what Im doing is changing the shortcomings of the toy axles that are under it right now these ones shoiuldnt break as easy.  ;)

Are you gonna d44 conversion the front using the toyota axel and the new 44 kit and then maby 60 the rear.
If you didn't make it, and it ain't broke, you didn't try hard enough.

WHITE_TRASH

Sorta Ive got a few old rear housings laying around so Ill pull the tubes out of the dana diffs cut off the yota tubes & put em together.
Should be pretty easy really, but like anything there are pitfalls to everything.

Ya make shure and beef up the area where u weld the tubes too the toyota axel if not 1st airtime it gets or bounces much will snap them right off.
Good luck with it.

Oh I plan on adding more than a little beef thats for sure full trussing across the top of the axle.

hummmmmm, just get ya a chev duelly rear end . and matching front end too.  leve  the housings alone and put'um under your truck! now THAT will get some looks. and you can hall all the wieght you want! 235/85/16s  six of 'um sweet!

WHITE_TRASH

Thats actually kinda funny that you say that.  I have access to a set of dually axles.  A converted 44 & a 14 bolt.  The problem lies in the added weight I want to keep it sorta light cause I dont feel like changing the transfercase.  But I figure this way itll hold up and be a good conversation piece as well.

Im finally getting off my lazy A$$ and doin something on the lil truck!  Hows this for a start?  I havent done any gusseting added supports or anything that would make this strong LOL.  But I will before it gets ANY use.  Like I said I just started on it I just wanted some opinions/ ideas.  Thanx

Here is some more progress.  I think its coming together pretty decent.  The 110 welder Im using is better for sheet metal nothing with any actual strength.  It is a big steaming cow pie,   I just hope it doesnt fall apart  :_oops: on the way to the shop to put some beads on it instead of the small tacks Ive doen so far.

stinger  looks cool but tying into the body mount kinda scares me....i would try to hit frame or the cross mount in front as close to frame as possible...also that 110 would work for 120 wall tube and if you are scared run flux cored through it....

WHITE_TRASH

It is flux core.  By the time this is done the body mounts will have a piece of 2x2 .25 inside of them with extra bracing as well.  The only reason that I used that spot is cause it was low enough and wide enough for the stinger.  It will be one stout bumper, I just wanted it mounted low to help slide over rocks.  It is going to have a pipe welded in front of the spring hanger with a piece of pipe connecting to the stinger too.  Youll understand it when its done I suppose.
Well enough rambling I gotta get back to the shop to work on it!

Lookin good white i am in the process of building a bumper kinda like that but myne is a lil lower and has a winch mount plate inside the bar that goes up.
If you didn't make it, and it ain't broke, you didn't try hard enough.

WHITE_TRASH

Yet another pic.  I just got back from the shop from welding this thing better.  It is a LOT stronger so far just by adding a couple of braces.  Tonight Im going to tub the heck out of my firewall.  Ill post pics of that later.  I already started the driver side so far I like what I see. ;)
