I drove the truck to wally mart tonight, you should have seen the stares I was getting. Those poor border jumpers didnt know what to think about my little beater. I got a choice parking spotup front under a light, when I walked out the damned truck was glowing I swear!! Every car around it was freaking reflecting the color. Pretty cool. The color is flouresent red its made by Krylon I bought it at wal mart cost like $8 a quart. I bought 3 but didnt even use a whole qt cause I had to dillute it so much to spray. Just in case your wondering I went to wallyworld to get supplies for my next mod....If you liked that one youll LOVE this one........

You cant really see them during the day except the glow paint has a little bit of gloss to it. During the night you can see them pretty good but I need to give them a few more coats so they show real good.

Whats next huh? well lets see....
1. Rears up front, custom rears
2. Build shock hoops front & rear
3. Order & install Mco7
4. Drivelines
5. Crossover steering w/ power!
6. Weld up the diffs
7. Install a full rollcage in cab & out
8. Build tube bumpers & sliders
9. Practice practice practice!!!
That about sums up the lil truck. Now I have to do a bunch of stuff to the big truck like....
1. Install a better reciever hitch
2. Wire for trailor lights
3. Wire in a brake controller for said system.
4. Fix the engine mounts
5. Fix the exhaust (has an annoying leak)
That is about all I can think of right now Im sure I missed a lot!!!
I just hope Shawn is wrong cause if not Im in trouble!
Oh yea did I mention Im planning on using my big truck as a tow rig for the lil truck? I think that will get everyones attention pulling into camp!

Take a pic from infront of the driverside tire so I can bet a better idea of exactly what ya did. That way I can give good ideas not just general info. Take one basically like this one.

38x11 boggers eh' Hadem'! I liked those tires but they dug too fast for my liking & driving style. Thats why I went back to 38x12 tsl's. much more forgiving!

You may want to pull that leaf you added and find one that is a bit flatter. Like pull one out of your origional front pack. that pack has some serious arch! If you want to keep the shackles off of the frame you need to build boomerang shackles. You can get an idea of their design by looking at sky's. Keep up the good work its starting to come together now.

You can make a new front spring hangers and weld it in forward a little and that will pull those shackles away from the frame

Ya thats what i was planning on doing is moveing the front spring mount about an inch up or so and it will put them back too stock angle.
I might try putting the other leaf i have its a 1/2 chevy but was longer and flatter then the one i put in but it was pretty flat too they both came out of the orig spring pack.
Im going to do some playing around with them becuase i think my front springs will settle down some after ive flexed it some i havent got too drive it yet too see becuase i still havent fixed my steering arm yet.
Thanks for the help guys.

They will settle out some. The springs I used on my big truck were all on the truck before the swap. They just werent all together some were from the front packs some from the rear. Youd think that by having them on the truck for so long they would already be broken in but they werent at all. In just the first few days after the swap I noticed the front had dropped about 2"!! Good luck with your swappin' as youll need it!

I just looked at the pic of your truck again Id try about 1.5-2" longer shackles before anything else. With that said you already have bad issues with having too much caster. You maywann find some 2-4 degree wedges to put in there. Also Id drop the front hadger about 2 in. that would help out with the caster a lot!
