Not yet, I left the corner supports in the bed and I cut the cab paralell with the bed support.  Thus leaving an even seam to weld in 3/4 in. square tubing between the cab & bed.  The front of the bed was left long and hammered into the cab to cover up the air gap between them.  I cut the cab at the bedy seam all the way around so all it will need is some time with a pearl disc.to clean it all up.
I will add supports to the roof when I weld in the cage.  I dont wanna spend another $150 on a windshield!!

Well...my suspicions about the rear left tire movement were proven correct tonight.  My left axle shaft is bent! :_order:  I actually was hoping that it was the shaft not the wheel, its not that I didnt have another wheel (I do) but Im too lazy to change the tire!  Guess the truck was going faster than I thought when it rolled.  This is the 2nd shaft ive seen bent this week!  I had never heard of that happening before.  I also saw something else Id never seen,  a broken shaft.  it broke at the bearing tire and all went flying.  The guy got hit by another car, the insurance company totaled the truck.  All it did to the truck was bend the metal mudflap back a LITTLE bit maybe 3/8th's of a inch!  And of course the shaft.  Is there something going on these days a government conspiracy maybe??? :screwy:

Hey join my club both my axel shafts in back are bent.
they were like that when i got the truck myne was a 400 dollar special, and had a rod hangin out the side of the motor and the tranny was junk.
but its  came along way and is goin much further.
and still havent changed the axels yet and drives fine so im gonna leave it alone.

Just incase anyone is keeping track, I have a running tally on expenditures on this truck.
1.  purchase    $300
2.  windshield  $162
3.  oil change  $15 (including 1 qt of lucas oil treatment)
4.  air filter       $3
5.  exhaust      $50  (not bad for all new crap tip to tail, 3" tail too)

I dont think Ive done too bad for myself.  I got my W2 Im looking at Hi- steer & a good cage.  The first thing on the list is a Mco7 of course!!

The only thing that i would be worried about with that wobbled is if it makes the axle seal fail.  I f that happens there will be nothing holding you axle in the housing. It will slip right out of the backing plate.

Those studs are pressed through the plate that has the bearing pressed into it so if there is a serious failure and your ball bearings go away by by axle!
I finally got off my lazy a$$ and prepped another backing plate for swapping the brake stuff onto after about 3 hours of cleaning swapping etc.  I was about to put it in the tube when I noticed the bearing was wasted!  Ok that sucks I thought Ill just use another one, after 3 solid hours of searching I cant find another one I can account for 2 sets that I have given away but that still leaves me with 3 axles missing.  This sucks I just put the bent one back in cause I didnt feel like pressing them both.  Screw it Ill just put a ifs axle in it!

Ive still gotta put the doors back together and finish some detail work but its basically done.  I used Krylon flouresent red, the instructions say to either use a brush or a roller.  I sprayed it with a gun.  Beings the paint is water based I had to use water to cut it, seeing as Im such upper class I didnt use just "any" water I used Dasani!  LOL
