So as long as our letter was postmarked before the 1st of August we are good?  I sent mine out a month ago with a check, but I'm still not showing up on the board.  Mine got sent when I was still in Iraq so sometimes mail gets screwy.  I'm still planning on coming, even if it's just to show up, but getting a dinner would be cool too.

You can if you like, but I don't believe it is a tradition.

Last year, since it was his 50th birthday and we were traveling across the country. I made him a ceremic turtle

But we didn't bring it up to the Rubicon, I presented it to him at the shop.
Of course this year is their 10th anniversary...

I got my registration pacet today! :hyper:  I just have a few questions about the Safety Checklist.  Is everything on this list absolutely REQUIRED, as in, if I don't have it by the roundup, I don't go?  I understand most of it, like the parking brake, tow straps, jack, etc.  But I was curious bout the CB?  I fried my old CB, and wasn't planning on getting a new one yet (more important things to fix on my truck first) and I had a whip antenna for it.  Why can't the antennas exceed 4'6" ??

I can't wait to go!! :beerchug:

I think it is more a rule of thumb, then mandatory. No one is going to be at the trailhead checking off the list. But having a CB is really really helpful.

Yeah, I know, I've had one before.  Since mine blew, I take those little 2 mile radios so I can talk to others in my group.  I was asking more about the 4'6" and above not alloweD?  I've never heard that before :dunno:

Late Registration has been removed. One reason it was implemented was to prompt those interested in shirts to get their registration in before Aug. 1st, and since we have those orders now, the T-Shirts are being made, and Marlin does not want to "punish" anyone by charging them extra for late registration. We will have extra shirts made, but we are not sure if we can provide all of the ordered shirts before the event for those who ordered shirts after Aug 1st. In that case, your shirt will be mailed to you after the event. Registration for all new sign-ups is the regular $25 charge. Only 2 people have paid for late registration, and they have been refunded the extra $10 charge. Thanks Marlin!

Got Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday off.

I get off on Thursday's usually around 5:00 pm so we're thinking about packing up and heading out that night. Hitting trail head that night and camping. Probably hit the trail around 8-9 am Friday morning.

If you're planning on cruising in with us PM me and let me know so we can figure out a time to meet up and where to meet up at.

why dont you tell your nephew for the sake of everyone to stay away from the trail all together.  And if he does for some reason think that his subaru will be able to run the trail please let me drive in front of him so that I could watch and video tape all while not having to be stuck behind him WHEN he breaks it or gets badly stuck.

I wouldn 't recommend it.  At the very least he'll hold everyone up badly, and at the worst he'll break pretty bad.
