So i got some bad news.  the recent trip to Fordyce really messed my truck up.  the engine is running like :pokinit: after a roll and i need a new passenger side nuckle.  i broke 3 of the nuckle studs on mine and i had to drive out on a spare drivers side nuckle.  it worked until one of the calliper bolts came out and the calliper locked up.  it was a long and hard weekend.  I am going to try and get it fixed but i don't know if the truck will make it next weekend.

I got knuckles. You have my #

So i still have a chance to make it.  I am grabbing a nuckle from Locktup tomarrow untill i can get a replacement.  I am gonna get some new spark plugs and wires and see if that is the problem.  I am hoping maybe they are just fowed from the oil.

Looks like I'm finally Ready Nice way to spend my Labor day weekend :gap:

Aight, so my engine is ready to go.  i replaced the spark plugs and wires today.  Looks like 2 of my spark plugs had the gaps pinched or something.  i am thinking maybe when the motor hydrolocked the oil compressed a little and smashed the gap.  I put new ones in and she purrs just like before.  I just picked up a nuckle from locktup so after i put that in tomarrow i will be good to go.

Dang,I'm cuttin' it short too.The fabricator @ work was gonna lengthen my front   :flamer:  driveshaft a little cause it pulls out sometimes and he's in Wisconsin for a CORR race  :smack: .I have a driveline place that hooks me up for pretty much nothing but they're buissness hours are the same as ours and they're about 40 miles away    .I would just take it the way it is but he cut it before he left.So my rig is sitting with no front drive shaft and I'm stressing out  :wall:

just go in the tahoe side and you'll be able to get to the springs easily and possibly without damage and the trail is short going that way but if you go the other way its gonna get trashed and its  a long way in and out

coming from the tahoe side the only hard part is cadillac hill but you'll be able to do it fine its just kinda tight in some spots but only maybe a 1/2 mile of actual trail.  Coming from the other way you'll make it to lil sluice fine maybe with some dents but after that it gets much harder and tighter and its still a long ways from the springs.

pritty much the only thing there is a bypass for is the sluice box which are the slabs wich isnt that easy if you take the wrong line, you would be better off going in and out the tahoe side

I wouldn't chance it, unless you're willing to sacrifice the body?  Your best bet is to drive up, and then walk/hop rides in.  Plenty of people will be happy to give you a ride once in a while, and there'll be plenty walkin to

All the way!  If you go backwards, coming up the big sluice might be a challenge.  You'll be OK.

Actually it is about 5 miles of trail.  I came in that way last year in the Migo when it was stock :hammerhead: And it was bout 9 miles from the beginning of McKinney Road on the Tahoe side to the springs Campground.  It's bout a half mile from Cadillac to the campgrounds though

oycj... if you come in through Tahoe, you got it.  Comin in through Loon is askin for body damage.  Did you ever get those sliders done up? :beerchug:
