Just bought my PETT for MCR5
I'm sure it'll get lots of use, especially with Mrs. W's cooking.

[soup nazi voice]NO SOUP FOR YOU!![/soup nazi voice]  :bat:

I don't know about MY cooking but FFC is going to be cooking too!  :aaa:

We've got a PETT too, but we also have a stand up toilet seat that came with the toilet tent. You just put the bag under it.
The PETT was OK but the seat is a lot more compact.
I have lots of wag bags too, I bought an extra box.

NO :pokinit: ON THE 'CON!!

Well there is another way to keep the poo poo off the Rubicon, just take a diarrhea pill before you go and you be not poopin' much at all but when the time comes it's gonna hurt! Works just the opposite of a laxative.

There were a LOT of porta-potty's at the springs when we were there last year, it's just all along the way that there are no facilities.

In addition to the equipment detailed in the first post of this thread, please also be aware of the following:

  • Bring a trashbag and help us keep the trail clean. Carry out more than you brought in!
  • Take a human waste sanitation device and pack out your poo. Portions of the Rubicon (Spider Lake) have been closed due to human waste in the past. Due to the rocky area and lack of bathroom facilities, it is very important that you take responsibility for your poo and getting it off the trail.
  • Take an oil spill kit and make sure your vehicle has no leaks before you hit the trail.
  • Stay within 25' of the centerline of the trail. Due to the EDNF lawsuit and resulting forest order, all vehicles must stay on the trail. Vehicles are no longer allowed to drive around (off trail) on the slabs or bowl, or drive to spider or campsites down by buck. The USFS is enforcing this heavily this year and have written many tickets.
  • You may need to park perpendicular rather than parallel in order to get everyone parked yet keep the trail clear for other vehicles.
  • Do not park or drive over ANY vegetation.

Thank you, and hope the Roundup is a great event this year!

I usually carry a plastic jar to catch oil, keep my spare nuts and bolts in it till the need to catch some oil or fluids while you change a birf or axle.
