Last year my sister, who lives in San Fran, was able to doggie sit them in the LBC while we did the Rubicon.
She couldn't do that this year, and it would have been quite an ordeal taking them on the trail. They are older and not used to things like that. They don't go wheeling with us regularly. And then I figured even if we made it to the Springs without too much problem I would end up having to doggie sit there while Mark went out to play.
On top of that there is a lot more we are going to have going on during the vacation overall that will have us leaving the dogs by themselves for too long then we like to leave them in the motorhome.
Even though we'll miss having them along we felt it would be better for all concerned for them to stay home.
My mother loves FL and she is very excited about getting to vacation here for a few weeks. I have two cousins here that she'll be visiting with and she also has some friends (one woman she has known since grade school!) that don't live far from us.
We also have our neighbor, Nosey, and his wife, Mrs. Nosey, right across the street. They are both retired so I'm sure my mother will not get bored. Not to mention she's used to dial-up. :yikes: and we have hi-speed cable

Oh, and I'm going to set Mom up with a Marlin profile so she can follow our trip. I know if I leave it to her to do she will just lurk and not participate but if she already has a logon she'll post.
What do you think? Everybody call's her Mom, so maybe just Mom, or MWM's Mom?
I should start a poll

We are keeping the registration separate from the regular sales work. That's the main reason we are have them mail in through the Christine. With our current volume of online orders, it would be to difficult to keep up with the registrations.

Better get'em in now before the rates go up (from the first page of the thread):

For the first time, we are charging for the event. Early Registration (letters postmarked by July 31st) is just $25, and Late Registration (letters postmarked Aug 1st or later) is $35.

Not to mention to be sure you get a t-shirt:

The 5th Annual MCR T-Shirts sizes and prices are listed on the Registration Sheet (above) and are only available on a pre-order basis!! We will order the T-Shirts in early August so please get your orders in by then.

Now STOP PROCRASTINATING PEOPLE! :slap:

Wow, got 9 new Registrations in the mail today, and 2 walk-in registrations, which is a good thing since there are only 4 days left to get your registration in and to be able to get your t-shirts before the event starts.

Remember, we are having a Raffel this year, and all proceeds will benifit Friends of the Rubicon.

I will put the list of the Raffel donations up soon!

No, we are waiting until the dead-line date so we will know how many shirts to pre-ordered before we send out the registration packets. I think we will be doing them all (shirt or no shirt) at the same time.
