How come you're swaping out the izuzu rear?

I've taken one apart and everything is slightly bigger then toy, not to mention disc brakes
Liquor up front
Poker in the rear

If I put a toyota rear in I can have ONE spare third for the trail and it'd work for front or rear.... Plus, every bit of gearing down I can get I'm goin for.  4:30's compared to 4:10's.... that's enough of a difference for me to make the swap.

Hey Nate how are ya? Long time no talk!

I'm running the Isuzu 2wd out of a '93 P'up, a divorced toy top shift tcase, and obviously an adapter  Gonna run 4:30 thirds in the axles, and hopefully before MCR5 I'll come up with the dough to get a crawler :eyebrow: :crossed:

Cool, guess what I meant was where and outa what are you gettin a toy divorced case?  I'm glad you're makin so much progress on this thing, I think the only way anything will get done to mine is if I non-op it, pull insurance and leave it at my friends shop for the summer and work on it before I go to work at 1pm.

Thanks, that's what I was going for.  I didn't think toy made a divorced case so I was a little confused.

the adapter on her toy case now, was behind a  ford c3/4 hybrid. with a efi ford 2.3 in front of that. it is a O.T.T adapter #0002 so it is one of the first. it had sammi and a toy pattern drilled into the input flange, but we needs early style toyota (6mm) pattern drilled on it. so now it has 3 different patterns. all her pinion and t-case outputs are drilled with both toy patterns now. 4.30's are in. just have to pop the rest of the axle rebuild in. somehow one set of wheel bearings out of the marlin kit got lost, or never came in the kit. she is saving the rear disk brake stuff i think. it would be a peice of cake to install on a toy axle later. rear diff is tilted up as far as we need it. unfortunatley i only have a ifs c/v right now laying around, and no straight axle c/v to do the angle we need and keep it smooth. so i will be on a lookout for one of those.

we can not deal with the steering quite yet, but she knows what she needs.
The clutch slave will have to be popped onto the drivers side of the bell housing now, and turned around to push the fork in the direction we need. it will be tricky, but i think we could get it in a couple hours of thinking and fitting.

Thank you Jeremy for the update

Ok, now the final news.  We got the drivelines all in, got the axles (toyX2!!!) put back together and ready to go, tranny in, tcase in, shifters installed, brakes bled, clutch bled, seats in, started her up and the clutch wouldn't engage :rivers: We figure maybe the hydraulic from manual swap wasn't givin enough pull :dunno:

We worked till 2:30 this mornin, then I resolved that we weren't gonna get much farther without the cable setup  So, I said my goodbyes, and I'm back in Livermore now.  So much for wheelin this weekend :rivers: I'll still be at Hollister, but not in the Migo
