excuses, excuses. if it isn't one thing, it's another......
Thanks Well I tried gettin the busted bolt out and I think I messed up the threads. I'm gonna have to drill it out and re-thread the hole a lil bigger or tmecert it or helicoil
I hate it when threads get goofed up. What a PITA!
if its not at the end of the little half moon peice i wouldnt even bother
as long as it dont pooch out bad dont worry about it, unless it just worries you to no end and you just cant stand it
those are more to keep the dirt out than the grease in, that 1/2 inch wide band under the half moons does betteri wouldnt worry about itsometime later when you have the knuckle off the truck and can get to it then fix it then
and by grease (from personal experience on steves truck) he means goo, the grease in there is thick, its not going anywhere.....
You definitely don't want those U-bolts coming off!
I had 7/8ths of an inch diameter made for myself, but of course that is excessive. Well, your axle selection is a bit different, but some good 9/16th or 5/8ths should hold on to you....
9/16ths are plenty.. and theres no way you broke a shaft. theres guys pounding on stock yota rear shafts with 40's and 42's. with no breakage
and braking a shaft would mean a lot more than thump, thump...... remember when i broke my tailshaft? my truck didnt move.....
justina if you have a problem with the rear third let me know, i don't have anymore 4.30 diffs, but I am sure I can find one. all I have laying around are 4.10s.
