I do have an old set that have been in the back yard for about 10 or more years. :ack:

But lets not get carried away here.

5.71's aren't the most desired gears, but for the price it would give a better crawl ratio without any lower Tcase gears.

Won't do much for hwy speed, but she should trailer it anyway.

I need to look, maybe I can find enough parts to put them together with out even install kits. I think I may even have a welded carrier.
if you need  thirds i have front and back  they are stock 410 but if you get here  you can have them for the 571

You better break out the sawsall on those rear wheel openings and where is the pinion pointing?

You want it pointing at the Tcase flange if you are using a CV shaft.

The pinion is pointing at the tcase.. it's got a crazy angle, but that's the way it's been.

Front Bumper is in progress! Ideas!
« Reply #675 on: Aug 08, 2007, 09:41:31 PM »
Since the shock crossmember attempt didn't work today, I decided to figure out which route to go with a bumper.  I don't want to install my new :bling: rock lights until I know I'm not going to smash them... and I figure I can throw a bumper on in an evening.. even if it is simple.

So, this is where I got....

I put the tubes in like that, just getting an idea where to cut to put the bumper...

I'm looking for suggestions.. picture ideas, etc.  I will be doing this next week I hope... so I got a little time to brainstorm.  Just trying to get a feel for something not too ordinary, not too complicated, but something that'll protect my grill and later on, my headlights

So the only real progress I got done today was getting my front bumper and my shocks off :headshake:

Bumper Ideas

But at least it's a start.... :disturbed:

I did some welding on my truss in the front

Cut the crossmember that ended up being too friggin short :shake:

The lower open area above the "D" rings could be a future winch mount.

:hahaha: No I put them there to give an idea where the mounts could be... either there welded on, or I can use the original bumper mounting brackets :dunno:
