Ome hd springs sits low up front
« on: Sep 17, 2020, 09:45:38 PM »
So I put a set of old man emu shocks and springs on my 1981 Pickup (front and rear) and after they have settled a bit the fronts it’s a bit low, I’m wondering what I can do about this can I increase the shackle length or should I add a leaf? I’m already thinking about removing a leaf from the rear but I don’t think that’ll solve my height problem, but I don’t really carry much weight normally so they’re a bit stiff.

Drop hanger sounds like the correct fix.

Probably not a bad way to go. I'm pretty sure a drop hanger is required to fit high steer with the Emu springs.

I’m glad to hear that I might be able to do high steer with my ome Springs because I thought I had screwed up And would need to get new springs to fit high steer. I assume when adding a front hanger you would also want to get longer shackles for additional lift and to keep the front pinion angle Somewhat in spec?

Helipilot and Zippo both made high steer work with emu springs. Both awesome rigs.
