I'm so happy for you Dan.   Things happen for a reason.  I remember a few years ago, and I felt sad for you and your family.  But it is how you and your family has persevered through all the rough times.  That is a inspiration to all of us.  I've known families to fall apart over less.

God bless you and your family.   ;)

I am asking that you pray for my friend Eric. He is the son of my "other dad", a good friend from work. Last night he and his horse were attacked by a nest of hornets and the horse freaked out. Eric was thrown and landed on his head for the most part. He's suffering broken ribs, a bruised/swollen brain (concussion), broken collarbone, neck injuries, broken scapula, dislocated shoulder, split tailbone, his sternum separated from his breast bone, torn ligaments, and they're still investigating. He has been strapped to a board since he was brought into ICU last night. From what I hear it's not fatal, he's just in a lot of pain. He's been in and out of consciousness since the incident.

Update on Eric,

He was sent home 2 days after the accident.  The hospital said there was nothing more they could do for him, so he is broken and at home now.  He's still got a concussion due to a bruised brain, but he's taking it easy.  Thank you for your continued prayers for Eric.

Hey everyone my wife and I are in the end process of buying a home right now.  Everything has been going good so far we got all of our inspections and apraisals done and loan docs in process.  When we had to have an inspector for our loan (FHA) come out to the house and we find out that the old pool in the backyard that does not work and we don't want and were planning on backfilling now has to be fixed in order for our loan to follow through.  So we are at the end of our process and now brought to a sudden stop and are now waiting to hear if the selling bank will cover the repairs.  If they don't we will have to back out and start over so your prayers will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you very much.

Correct, he does not have insurance.  He was a temp firefighter when the Governator got rid of all the temp state employees - which meant he lost his job last month.  In losing his job, he lost his medical  :shakehead:

well im gonna do something different here-

my wife has been pregnant 9 times since we have known eachother.
i do have a now 6 year old daughter
but we have lost so many babies to misscariages, and still births.

the Lord says to cast your cares upon him, and we have been trying to for a while, and things have gotton better.

Josh Turner sings a song, in the lyrics it says "the longer the waiting the sweeter the kiss"

i have waited for 6 and a half years for another baby, and we really wanted a boy.

tuesday the 2nd we welcomed Daniel Lee Benoit into this world at 8:15 in the morning

let me tell you there is no words to describe the elation i felt as they pulled my boy from his mamas tummy.
he is the single most beautiful thing i have ever seen.

my heart broke when i burried my first son, and the years have slowly healed the pain. but this closed the door on that heartache. the Lord blessed us with a happy healthy little man.

the odd thing is this-in surgery we found out that my wife is missing an ovary, and a filopian tube-and the one ovary that she has is not suitable for reproduction according to the surgion.
he gave us a 5% chance of having another baby. truly a testamant to how big a miracle this little guy is.

we coulnt be happier.
an update, he is 3 months old now. my sleeping habits dont exist anymore, but he is so worth it. if you have kids, you know what i mean

Well my uncle is in the hospital. Things aren't lookin good. He had a pulmonary embolism (blood clot stuck in the pulmonary arteries in the lungs). He also has ALS which is Lou Gehrig's Disease. Anyway any prayer would be nice. He has been in a slow state of decline the last year but this is making it harder.

You got it Drew. I don't know if this will help or not, but you can PM germ if you want a better understanding of what your uncle has.  He helped me a lot when I needed further insight in the medical field.

Prayers for your uncle!
