I have a friend in Morgan City, LA...right in the way of all the water there letting go through the spillway. He and all those folks down there could really use some prayers!

Thanks

Arizona is on fire...everywhere. The newest, that I know of, is just down the road from my daughters house (the Memorial fire) and they are across the valley from the Horseshoe II fire. As of this moment...there's something like 750,000 acres toasted in Az. A lot of people and critters displaced.

May the Lord help everyone in need to get through their hard times.  I'm sure we all have something that is stressing us out in life beyond the normal stress.  I have a lot on my plate these days, and I don't know how I get through it, but somehow I do.  I think if it was not for the Lord, I do not know how I would not break down.

Well, the little fire from the other day has gotten a lot bigger and spawned a new fire on post (Ft. Huachuca). My daughter and SIL have been told to evacuate.

Thanks for the prayers.

We had an eventful weekend.  My wife stayed home from work on Friday with back pain (we vistited Urgent Care on Thursday) and when I got home she said that we need to head to the ER.  Her back was feeling much better, but she was jaundice (you could see the yellow in her eyes).  We dropped our 2-1/2 month old off to stay with some friends that are family and headed to the ER.  She was admitted and we just got home today.  She's doing much better, but it looks like her gall bladder will need to be removed in a few weeks.  Thankfully, we have great family and friends that could take Simon both nights so that we didn't have to figure out how to keep him at the hospital.  Things are looking good, but we're not completely out of the woods yet.

Gonzo... this hits home for me as well, and I don't have the excuse of too much work and not enough time though.. truth is I can always make time but I find myself in a lazy rut most of the time. I prayed for you and myself on this one, as its convicting!

Just prayed for your dad Yeller.. that seems pretty serious.. Keep us posted!

I ask all my friends to pray for the family of Randy Land, he was a fire fighter and first responder here in Clark co Arkansas.  He passed about week ago and shortly before his funeral his mother collapsed and late last night she also passed away.
Having just lost my mother I know the heartache they are experiencing and I know they need some uplifting prayer.

On September 13, 2012 James Ryan Chappell a Sargent in the United States Army was killed riding his motorcycle on the I-210 freeway. He was a devoted husband and father of 3 young children and has one more due in three months. He has been serving since 2002 shortly after graduating Norco Hi, I knew him as one of the kids that hung out with the kids of a Spinnin' Fours Club member. Later when he was stationed locally he lived in Hesperia and became a club member himself. Last year he was transferred and had to move to Crescent City but just recently was transferred back here. From what I've been told he was riding his bike in the carpool lane on the I-210 when someone crossed the double yellow line and struck him. Prayers need to go out to his wife Megan, kids Lucas, Erika and Alexis plus the coming child.

He was the one who showed me around 250th. And he was with me--736th TC, Iraq deployment. In the same platoon--3rd platoon, in both company. I always admired and will still admire his experience. Thanks a lot Chappy. I will never forget you bro. I looked up to you. Rest in Peace James Ryan Chappell. You'll be missed. You and your loved ones have my prayers. :'(

My thoughts and prayers are with Megan Parker Chappell and her little ones tonight. Her husband was lost in a motorcycle accident on the 210 today because someone decided to cross the double yellow into the carpool lane when traffic slowed down. He didn't have time to stop. He was in the military and died wearing his BDU's. People please look out for motorcyclists! Please act like there are other people in the road when you are driving! No one deserves to die because you are trying to save some time! Esp military father of three with his fourth on the way!! :(

Please pray for my step mom.  For what might happen, does NOT happen.

In a nutshell, her son is a narcissistic a**hole, and there is a 95% chance of him moving his new family from Virgina, back home.  Because they don't have jobs.  (ie, he is lazy, hasn't worked for 6 years)  She doesn't have the means or room for seven people to live with her.  And because my step mom and I share land together, I too will have to deal with him and his new family.  (4th marriage in 15 years) The best thing for the family, is that he doesn't move back home.   He is a lying, deceitful, cheating, self centered jerk, that will dangle his kids in front of his mom, to get his way.  The only reason he has custody of three of his kids from a previous marriage, is because he is getting "free" money for the kids.  It is much better for the whole family that he stays away.  He has already gave away custody to two kids from his first wife.  And he is on his fourth wife, and doesn't know what birth control is!!  It breaks my heart that he treats his mom like crap and she takes it, because she is a good Christian, and is afraid of loosing family.  Because she was adopted, her son and daughter is the only thing she has, that is blood.

And secondly, please pray for me, cause I will not take his bull crap!!!  And I won't let him treat her like crap, she has already endured enough in her life!  I was told about the possibility of him moving yesterday, and I'm not in a good mood about it.   Because, it always seems like I'm the one that has to help pick up the pieces.  I already have enough issues that I have to deal with, I cannot deal with more.

I'm not trying to be selfish, it's just that when he was home, there was major drama and very serious issues we had to deal with (DHS, possible molestation).  And we were the ones picking up the kids at all hours of the day/night.  And so on.  I could go on, but I will not.  Just please pray for my step mom, first and foremost.
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!

Well, the idiot and his family is moving back here.  The situation that we I didn't want to happen, did.  They should be here at the end of July, or first part of August.  SUPPOSEDLY, they plan to be out on their own within 3 to 4 months.  But I'm not going to hold my breath.
