I will leave it that color, although I'm considering painting the hood, roof and top black.. haven't decided yet though.

Not sure if I will be pulling the top off of this one anytime soon.. just feeling lazy :)

Got my new driveline from Brian at Driveline Tech. Very clean work, and did I mention he turned it around for me in two days!!! Awesome! Definitely going back there when I do my dual cases!

Installed my new 5 pattern flange...

Installed.. Don't even need to paint because its clear coated :)

Since I have a broken solid axle hub, I decided to do the switch to IFS hubs since I had them lying around and use Longfield Chromo Adapter gears

My brake light and charge light have come on a few times so I knew that my alternator was going out..  But I have a complete spare motor so I pulled the alternator off and swapped them out today since the dash lights were on all day.. I figured I better no press my luck before it left me stranded.

Here is a pic side by side.. Dirty one out, clean one in..

The one I pulled out looks to be a Bosch reman...

My spare one looks to be a Denso reman.. so hopefully it will hold out a little longer..

Had a lovely time trying to get the stinking thing out and in.. squeezed it out up the top vs pulling radiator hose and going bottom.

Started working on replacing my hubs... My solid axle hub was broke with a broke hub gear.. I will post pics later.. but I got the IFS hub on.. will do passenger side this weekend..

SAS hub

Apart, ready for IFS Hub

IFS hub body. With Longfield IFS conversion gears you can run a snap ring.

IFS - left, SAS - right

Installed IFS hub

But... I realized after watching this video that I need to take my hub cover off again and re-setup cause I dont think its exactly right... This video is not the best quality but its good for seeing the proper way to install.

How come you are using an IFS hub? Is it stronger? What is the difference?

IFS are cheaper and easier to come by and just as strong... especially with the Longfield chromo gears :)

Got my other hub on.. so now my hubs are done and hopefully don't need to be touched in a long time!

When searching for a rattle I noticed my t-case moved.. come to find out there was only 1 bolt holding the t-case to mount!! Got another one on the opposite side but it needs some attention soon! Not sure what the previous owner did to this chassis, but I'm pretty sure he didn't give a crap! So at the mount I have a lovely silvery, oily mess like my t-case is possibly cracked... but I guess the positive is that I almost have all the parts needed for getting my dual cases done..

This was my original broken hub and gear..

Saw this amazingly straight 76 pickup at the junkyard.. would make a fun project for sure!!

But since I cant have the truck, I robbed the emblem :)
