Time to go make a stronger rear view mirror bracket, one which won't keep breaking and falling on me as I drive.  :shake:

Back to what this thread is really all about, OK it is also about the camaraderie with all people that have found there way to this thread, but I have more progress to report.

The alternator bracket for the welder is done.

I was wondering what he was doing out there.  :disturbed:

OK, I am just too tired to mess with anything else tonight. I opted for just welding the old one back together for now.

I have only been up since 5 am and I am getting too old for this crap.

Now, in our driving around tonight the noise I have been thinking was comming from the transmission is actually the left rear axle bearing, or the lack there of.

Good thing I have disk brakes or I would have lost the axle out the side.  :yikes:

:yikes: I was holding on tight while trying to capture the sound it was making. All this time out on the trails we thought it was dust in the brakes :yikes:

I may sell them in time, but I am going to hang on to them till I know the 4.88's are what I need.

If I am lucky I may be able to reuse the axle.  :crossed:

I guess when the inner seal went out before MCR4 it washed out all the grease and all the water we play in finished it off.

I am going to replace both sides just in case.

Maybe now I don't have to open the trans ???
