Should have given you info on thermostat as well, if I remember correctly it is 76 degrees C you could have done a "service" job with that too before starting the engine.
No worries whenever you get time remove the t/stat, first do the needful cleaning you can do then keep 2 small pots handy, in one fill water and put it to boil, in the second keep ATF. Once the water comes to a near boil immerse the t/stat and see it has opened fully remove with long pliers and dip it into the room temp ATF. repeat this two or three times and you have a perfect almost new t/stat that wont bother you for a long time.

QuoteA square peg does fit in a round hole and don't let anybody tell you differant.

This thing may not be the most capable trail rig, but it should be one of the most unique.

I have always had to be differant and nobody builds things the way I want them, so I modify almost everything I get my hands on.

It seems that the thermostat is opening at about 187*F.
Mark ran around the local parts stores trying to find a thermostat that would fit and open at a lower temp but had no luck.

And since he had nothing better to do, and since the one we had was not big enough, Mark made a newer bigger and better steering fluid reservoir...

The new power steering reservoir is done. This thing holds about two qt of fluid, just hope it don't puke oil all over the place like the original one.

Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

As usual, he took off before I was ready or I would have been closer to the road and you could have heard the tires barking in first and second a lot clearer.
But MAN does it feel GREAT! He's got to put a muffler on it though, it's LOUD.

You can't see the dents in the hood in that video, but a couple weeks ago he inadvertantly backed into. I got swamper dents in my hood!
