I spent about 8 hrs working on the Mammoth and got the roll cage all but done. I still need to connect the angled tubes and piece the knerf bars together. After that is done it's on to the body work. I am hoping to have it ready for paint next weekend. :crossed:

Now that's a long Willy!!!
Wait, that sounded wrong... :smack:

You'll still have to lengthen the front driveshaft and shorten the rear. I think the crawler box and adapter only add around 7 inches.

If you are right about 7", the front square should take care of it's self and the old front that is now in the rear will need to be cut down, but that's not the fun part. I used the rear mounting hole in the crossmember so I have to cut the crossmember mounting bracket loose and move it.  :smack:

Dec. 1st my butt!! At the rate Mark is going it looks more like Nov. 1st. Does he ever sleep?

I still have not even talked to the Miami boys yet. I wanted to give them a week to get over the hurricane before I started asking about it. I've got about 3 weeks to get mine ready. This week the rear main seal is being replaced as well as valve cover gaskets and valves adjusted. I'm hoping next week to get started on my track bar set up and ARB repair. I have to get it done before Thanksgiving, cause were going away and when we get back it will be right before the prefered scheduled date.

I do have to lay down some rules though, last time out it was a little wierd having a Willy behind me, I'm not so sure I want a longer Willy behind me this time  :hahaha:

Lator......
Nissan's need Marlin too. Won't you help?

Just the adapter, I have 4 doner cases and will be able to put a box together in a night. The hard part is going to be moving the crossmember, but that is only a PITA.

Gator, Get her done. Don't dilly dally around or you will be left behind. :moon:

I'll be ready!! You see, I don't have to make up for my inadequate length. No surgery needed, mine is all natural!   Maybe you should tint your window blue for the full effect  :rofl2:

BTW I tryied to make it make sence without taking all the chat out and hope nodody gets bent about it. Chat is good, but lets try not to get too far out there.

Thanks, Mark

I finished the welding on the cage tonight, but still need to weld in the knerf bar sections and grind the welds.

I bought this little TIG for work to use on the truck welding kitchen equipment. It only weighs 17 lbs and can put out 150 amps with a 100% duty cycle.

Thanks guys.

I got the nerf bars pieced back together tonight and that's it for now.

I hope to have my adapter tomorrow and start putting the low range box together. I want to have that all in and the crossmember moved before the weekend. That way I can do the body work and paint this weekend.  :crossed:
