:therethere: Since you asked, I am going to make it longer. I am going from 87" wheel base to 100", that's an extra 13". That will give me more stability for climbing, plus a longer drive shaft length and room for a second lowrange box. Also the fuel tank will get remade with aluminum and 4" wider from front to back giving me about 5 more gallons. There will be room for a slide out storage box under the seats. All the heavy stuff will be forward of the rear axle and down low. No more tire carrier and jerry can hanging way off the back causing me to pull wheelies on the steep climbs. :hyper:

Then I need to finish the custom T case with the offset rear output and build a frount axle for the rear so both thirds line up. Then the rear will steer with hydrilics and center with a lock pin. I will need Marlins rear disconnect so I can use the upper output for a PTO driven trailer. I crack me up  :rofl2:  Can you say six wheel drive.

It should look like a CJ6 only in a flat fender.

You make me sick, you know that??  Here I am trying to keep my truck running, and thn I'm gonna do some small projects, thinkin I'm all cool, and you do this. makes me wanna cry

Sounds awesome, can't want to read the build :hyper:

My friends and I were talking about seeing if Ricardo and the Miami guys wanted to try for the 1st weekend in Dec. I was hoping to get by cheap for Will's (small XJ) bachlor party. If your not going to be reay I may have to hire a stripper. Thanks a lot   But seriously, how long do you think this will take? I gotta say, you have balls of brass to wake up and decide "Today I cut the truck in 2"

I would like to say I will have the frame and cage work done this weekend. I should be able to work on the body next week and weekend. Then just have to put it back together. I would think it should be ready for a run by then.  :crossed:

There is more to come, but I don't want to make a project of it.  :rofl2:

hey Mark,  have you ever seen the sliding mechanism on bigrig trailers??   next time you see a bigrig  look at the trailer axles,  there's a handle that the driver pulls then gets in the cab and he can shorten or lengthen the wheelbase to distribute the weight of the load

"You're tearing me apart"

I got it cut apart, spaced it 13" and welded in the frame sections. Here is what it looks like at this point.

I think this is going to look cool.   Kinda looks like a Scrambler except the wheels are at the back.

It's a Unlimited Willy!!!

The Unlimited's don't have the overhang on the back, so you gonna put Trail-Rated emblems on the sides of your Willys Unlimited?

Will would flip if he ever saw Mark next to his CJ5 that never leaves his garage. I know who I am calling when it comes time to bob my bed though. Just so you know, LiftedHardbody is the guy who was riding with Will the day we ran the pit. I just figured I would help you put a face with a name.

Started working on the cage. The mounting points for the center hoop have moved back so I have to put a tube in between the door opening bar and the rear hoop for the center hoop to mount to. I plan to add another support forward of the center hoop to help distrute the load. Anyway here are the latest pics.
