I figured out why the front arb was leaking. Seems the retainer clip that holds the oring housing on was a sloppy fit. I bent it up a bit and put it all back together. It don't lift up anymore. We will see if it leaks anymore.

Mark-

Thats EXACTLY the same way I've seen several leaking out here.  Seems it's just that sloppy fit- which is weird on a part that is so precisely machined otherwise...

Look what I found in the scrap pile today :bling:  The bearings are worn, but still works. Nothin a new set of bearings and some machine work won't fix.

:dunno:  Haven't touched it in awhile. I guess I'm going to have to cut the Willy in half so I can work on it instead of playing with it all the time.  :headscratch:

BTW I'm not joking about cutting it in half   you saw me cut it in threes before

Mrs W wouldn't let me near the sawsall today so i'm   and  :rivers:  till I got my  :boozer: , but she' just  :chicken: to see it apart again so soon.  :psss:  Guess she has gotton to like the seat covers riding up  :ha_ha:

:therethere: Since you asked, I am going to make it longer. I am going from 87" wheel base to 100", that's an extra 13". That will give me more stability for climbing, plus a longer drive shaft length and room for a second lowrange box. Also the fuel tank will get remade with aluminum and 4" wider from front to back giving me about 5 more gallons. There will be room for a slide out storage box under the seats. All the heavy stuff will be forward of the rear axle and down low. No more tire carrier and jerry can hanging way off the back causing me to pull wheelies on the steep climbs. :hyper:

Then I need to finish the custom T case with the offset rear output and build a frount axle for the rear so both thirds line up. Then the rear will steer with hydrilics and center with a lock pin. I will need Marlins rear disconnect so I can use the upper output for a PTO driven trailer. I crack me up  :rofl2:  Can you say six wheel drive.

It should look like a CJ6 only in a flat fender.

I like the wheelbase extension but may I ask where you got 100 inches, just a good round number or have you done research that has told you that is right. I have heard 105-110 is on the money for Toyotas, but then again thats a Toyota and you have a well.....a Willy Mammoth.

100" sounds good, but 105 or longer will just start looking like a limo.  Remmember this started out as 80", that's 20" longer.

Damn, your not messin' around. I think 100" will be fine, my 119" was killing me with those tight turns. Has me thinking or rear stear but that will not happen for a couple of years for me.

:shake: here we go again! Well if we're going to do Tellico in the spring without me sucking up the seat covers again we're going to need that length and redistribution of weight. I just want to get out and play a few more times before it gets cooler and all the water dries up.  :ack:

We're going to go out trail riding with nosey and mrs. nosey next week :bud:

Then MrW is on-call the following weekend.  :phone:

Then it's Halloween weekend,  :santa: so we'll go see our neighbors band (but that would be Sat. night anyway, not like we can't play Sat. or Sun.)

Then it's Nov. and the weather will be getting nice for trail riding.  :horseride:  Maybe we can do one more trip to Rock Garden before starting to tear it up again.   :turtle2:   :camping:
