The roof rack is done and can be scratched off the list.
Skycraft is where I got the tubing for the chains, the guy there was having a good time helping me decide what would work best. I love that place, you just walk around with all kinds of ideas coming to mind.I haven't seen that other one but someone else around here told me about it not too long ago too. Where abouts are you Insti?
hey MrWilly did you check the garage door clearance
The only thing I don't like about Skycraft is whenever I go in there for 1 item I walk out light on the wallet with a bag full of goodies and 4 more things I have to do!!! I'm over in Deltona but I drive truck localy so I am all over central Fl. just about everyday. My truck is just about done and after some testing I'm going to put together a different type of Ocala run, I'll let you guys know whats going on when I start. It should be after you come back from the con.Lator.......
Cool, PM us if you are going to be doing any trailriding.
I am thinking of using a pull handle between the seats that is hooked to the brake pedal so it pulls the pedal down when you pull the handle up.
Yeah, like a car e-brake with a ratchet lock. How is your departure angle with the spare and Jerry can on there?
I also need to come up with a E brake of some kind.
Go hydraulic! small caliper on a disc bolted to the output flange on ya trans case. Sky do a kithttp://www.sky-manufacturing.com/Altho their's isn't hydraulic
Have you thought about a band brake? I'm sure you've seen one somewhere, they're used on epicyclic gears to actuate them, amongst other things. A steel band with brake lining material runs around a brake drum on the outside, one end of the band is fixed and the other is pulled to tighten the band against the drum. There must be a four or five inch brake drum in the breakers yard somewhere that you could turn the outside smooth to accept a band? The band itself would be quite simple to invent, riveting brake linings backwards on to the band. This would have a gradual release, unlike a "cog" system.Just my two euro cents,Matthew
The disk won't fit under the floor!. Matthew
you had a high pinion fromt if i remember correctly, why did you swich to the v6 third
