When the side of your house, garage, and backyard are filled with enough spare parts to build a couple trucks from scratch.

When you start to realize how much you took for granted things like percentage of uphill grade, headwinds, etc.

When your aircleaner stud snaps off, snakes its way through the carb and intake, ends up in the #3 cylinder and yet your 22r makes it another week somehow before giving up...

When you dont have to ever change your oil cuz at 200k your motor just burns the oil faster then it gets dirty.

4. A 4.10 gear ratio is almost always too high

5. You rarely order parts for a specific model year ( example: 79-83 Pickup)

6. A long bed is considered undesirable

7. you'd cry if you broke your plastic grill or any toyota emblems

8. you never want to drive the truck you bought for $2,500 on salty roads

I know a couple people who would beg to differ.

... When your heater blower motor is insanely loud.
... When the heater in the truck is hot enough to melt stuff.
... When one of the things you were happy about was no cracks in the dash.. (not anymore).
... When you mob on your truck all weekend up in the woods, and your truck holds together until you go to leave for work in the morning and you blow up your rear diff.
... When you flop your rig and have less body damage than a family members truck (dodge) that barely grazed another vehicle in the parking lot..

.. when your whole wheeling group consists of toyotas.

When you are at an event and the club leading the run is an all Jeep club and they are worried that the guys in the Toyota's might not make it to the end. Then halfway through the trail the guy leading the run is pissed because he's is now leading only the Toyota's since all the Jeeps have broken and limped home. (true story)

when you do a 3.4 motor swap, dont finish it, need to smog it, so you put a 3.0 back in it for smog then have 2 more years to worry about it
