This is a great thread that was on another toyota board. Contribute any you can think of.

Ill start.

Reverse takes a few trys to get in

You stare at every toyota...weather it be lifted, stock, or rustbucket

youre in 3rd gear by the end of intersection

People are amazed that your  25 yr old truck on 35s can get 22mpg which is better than their vehicles most of the time.

You don't think twice about towing a 1200lb trailer with a 2900 lb car and 500 lbs in the bed cross-country in a 16 year old truck with a 4 cylinder engine with over 130,000 miles on it...................

mine got 19mpg, but it was sitting on 35x16x15 tires... over 500lbs of tire and rim. Also, I did alot of cruzin around at 80 with those tires on, and airsoft beads DO work, becuase I  totally had NO lead on those rims
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

You don't have to change the oil because your truck burns so much oil

When your neighbor comes over and asks if you'd be nice enough to come pull his full sized, 4x4 [insert make here] out of the lake bed, and in a single pull, you yank him out and the rest of the neighbors stand there slack jawed.

Your daughter wakes up, rubbing her eyes while your driving down the road and says; "what was that bump daddy?" and you kind-of smile and reply "go back to sleep sweetie, it was just a Honda".

Try around 4 1/2 months  :ack:

When your rear end locks up on a dirt road when you break a ring and pinion, you back up and keep going, tighten the pinion nut when you get home and keep driving it, then a few months later it does the same - rinse, lather, repeat, then when it lets go 40 miles from home for the last time sending a piece through the housing draining the oil, you're still able to drive it home.

When you're able to drive your truck with oil mixing into the coolant for 1 1/2 years before you decide to fix it, change the head and get another few years out of it before a rod bearing lets loose... at about 370,000 miles.

......you run a trail and the only jeep gets left there because it's broken.

......on the freeway the car next to you is playing the "Evens Game" with you and when it finally annoys you enough that you turn your head to look at the person driving the exact same speed as you, you get two thumbs up from the dude driving because you are driving a kick ass 4runner!!!!!

It happens to me all the time actually.
