what are you wanting to run?

R154 Bellhousing, R151F, Dual 23 Cases? ah boy wait til you see the price of a clutch on that thing!!!

so expensive on these Inline-6's
r154 bellhouse with 1jz flywheel, and 2jz clutch, mated to a r150 long shaft, mated to 23 spline dual cases.

and i need to get my harness made

so i still am about 4k from being done :D

THK Matt

oh wow.... are the R150 long shafts from the 95+ models?

well, i found out that a local wrecking yard is closing, and having a 1/2 off sale....sooo

i went and just walked around to see what they had

i got a radiator out of a 7m powered cressida, it fits and will leave about 3/4 inch between it and the water pump- that will do just fine!! and its designed to cool a motor of this size, so im happy about that!

i also found a brand new looking Black Magic pusher fan on a previa...hahaha, paid 7.99 for it :D

i also found a freekin sweet trans cooler on a ford ranger, that will be my power steering cooler, it is much smaller then the enourmous one i had on there before, allowing me room for the fan. it is still about 100 times larger then what toyota put on the runner to start out with, so YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

All will be mounted this weekend, and pics will follow :D

crawlerdan

my goal is to be the first (that ive seen) 2jz third gen with a hood latch :rofl2:

sunnyside rd damascas.

well i got out there early today and realized that the radiator out of the cressida would not work, its too wide and will cover up all my intercooler stuff.

so i went back to damnasskiss this morning with a tape measure and found a perfect radiator, its out of a mercedes 500 sl......it fits perfect and demensionally is identacle to th toyota 3vz v6 radiator

so its on it way in now, it holds 1/2 gallon more fluid then the toyota :D ill show you why later

crawlerdan

i had an accident...with a cutoff wheel

crawlerdan

got the radiator, fan, power steering cooler, and all the radiator hoses mounted.

good news is, it all fits, well.

bad news is the volvo intercooler is a no go now, i need a side mount or something

crawlerdan

the good new again, is that the IC pipes will be shorter, and simpler.

AND the hood latch still works!!!!!!!!

crawlerdan

more...upper hose is part infiniti, part mercedes

crawlerdan

as of now, weve decided to name the truck fraken-truck

or frank for short

it has mercedes-radiator, hoses
infiniti-hoses
subaru-boost hoses, couplers, and a brat shifter plate as rad. mounts D
lexus-motor
jeep-leaf spring mounts as moutormount bushings
saab intercooler pipes
maybe a volvo intercooler if i can make it work
porshe 944 turbo radiator cap
mitsubishi evolution-blow off valve
ford ranger power steering cooler
alfa-romeo lower rad. hose  hahahahaha
audi serpentine belt

i love junk yards :D :D

pumkin toy

ha ha!! i love frank setups!  gonna be sick when you are burnin rubber!

im hoping early next year, my tax return will pay for the rest of the parts i need, then its only assembely. 90% of the fabrication is done

did alot today, moved my winch conntrols under the hood to clean up the front, make room, and protect them from weather, and installed a brand new, factory toyota grill i got for 40.00 at the clearance rack at pick and pull. it was a great deal :d

also have the front clip re-assembled

the bad news is i simply cannot find an intercooler i like (im picky...) i bought another one today that is nice, but just wont work. so now i have 3 intercoolers here i dont want :shake:

i would like to get my hands on a saab intercooler, and a ford t bird intercooler, i think either of those would meet my space requirements

THK Matt

:worthless:

I gotta say Dan, you are totally kicking ass on this project.
