Leaving tomorrow morning to go pick up those 40's...

Map quest says 3.5hrs one way so ill give it time for 4hrs each direction..
Probably gonna leave early morning so i can get back by mid afternoon.

Dingman.

Matt maybe we can work something out.

I don't really just want to straight up trade beadlocks for non beadlocks just for the back spacing, you know?

Dingman.

I might do some trading and get some 2.5" bs wheels.

Or i might just get some 2 or 2.5" spacers and call it a day..

Ive been reading about putting beadlocks on 2.5" bs wheels and people say its pointless since you will just blow the inner bead then..  Well just what i have seen with 2.5" bs wheels is that, ususally the reason the bead blows is from wheelign with lower pressure and the outer bead seems to always get pinched and burp air and then it finally gets too low and blows the outer bead which leads to inner bead as well.

So if i got 2.5" bs wheels i think i would also like to do the DIY beadlocks, cause i don't think it would be pointless since you wouldn't be burping any air out of the outer bead and if you only blow the inner bead that would still be easy to fix, well much easier than both beads..

P-DiseToy24

Dude dont waste your money and put bead locks on a 2.5bs wheel...... it really is pointless.  Look at the inside of a 2.5bs wheel.  It should make sence when you look at it.  Didnt I show you my beadlock rims as opposed my non bead locks?  Please for the love of god dont put beadlocks on a 2.5 rim.  Just throw the ifs hubs on and save yourself all the hastle.

Dingman.

So heres my new stance..

Next to a stock runner:

Now just have to figure out what this slight death wobble is from..
It has always been from my shackles coming loose, and i would tighten the bolts and it would go away, until the bolts would come loose again..

Well the spacer things that came with the TG shackles loves to destroy bushings, and mine ARE TOAST.....

Im hoping if i replace my bushings the DW will go away..

89sastoyo

death wobble could be from the tires? and unballanced bead locks, When I was running Iroks they were really bad with wobbling and then not and so forth it just depended on there mood I guess because I replaced everything in the front end looking for a solution got new tires no more wobble.

Dingman.

Usually the thing that triggers the wobble is hitting a bump in the road..

Like now, even with the 40's it will start to wobble, and it seems usually only at certain speeds (30-40).. it will start wobbleing, and will go away once i get above 40mph, and/or if i sort of swerve slightly it will stop...

Im guessing a combination of shot bushings/(maybe shitty springs)/ and the tires out of balance..

89sastoyo

I would say so. Deff sounds like some of tire though because the rotating mass is throwing it out of ballance untill it reaches a point to where its more cyntrifical and ballances out?? thats how I see it but bushing are a huge factor with the hitting a bump and getting it I would say because mine did that when my shackle bushings were toast

Dingman.

Yea, its the bushings that go into the leaf spring on the shackle side.

My tie rod is bent too, good ol TG parts again.. :shake:  so i checked my alignment today and it was 1/2" toe in.. i adjusted it to 3/16" in and it rides a lot nicer, but still had the wobble..

Put a steering stabilizer on it as well and it doesn't help (didn't think it would)
