DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!  lol...

So i got the tach working today as well as the temp sensor...
(i had the wrong wire spliced together so it wasn't sending the signal to the ecu)

Glad to know my guages work.

TheCookieMonster

sweet .. you know right off which wires need spliced together for the temp sensor?? my buddy's truck still needs that hooked up  :_order: sucks not knowing what the temp is

Dingman.

Okay here is what i did..

Not sure which ones i used.  BUt i ended up grabing my test light..

I ran a wire from the postive terminal to the coolant sensor.  Grounded the test light and started touching wires until it lit up..  THen i knew exactly which wire it was...  Carefull not to short htat out though.  I melted my clips when that happened on mine..

Goose

I just wanted to let you know...

1. That our 4runners are almost identical..

2. That mines almost done and we need to go wheeling when it is...

3. I hate you, and im coming to steal that motor when your sleeping...  :sleepy:

That is all. :sly:

Na it was all awkward..

Na..  It was a very slow flop, barely any damage aside from the driver side fender/mirror/door/and scratches.. That was really it..
No it sucked, but the outcome was much better than it could have been..

Thanks again guys.  I owe ya.

Pictures never do anything justice. I have pictures of my friends 2nd gen on a wicked side hill on the verge of rolling, literally a fart in the direction of his truck would have sent it over. When we opened the pics on the computer, it looked like he was just sitting on the side of a hill. In reality the hill was so steep it was hard to walk up.

I believe ya when I look at the pics. hope nothing was too messed up. Looked like kind of a gentle roll

Oh yes it was a very soft/gentle flop..  it fell over soo slowly it was sort of unreal..

I just need to look out for a door/fender/mirror and then it should be good...  Luckily i didn't hit any glass.

46&2

Thats good. Busted glass is a pain in the ass

yea.   i have been saying for the longest time if i screwed the back glass i would just chop the top..

Well i didn't break any glass yet...

i vote for trying to trade your runner for an x-cab or something, there are tons of people with toyota trucks that wish they had a runner instead, like cody, or me (no i dont wanna trade) get a feel for what is out there test the waters and see if something you want pops up, then if not, keep dumping time and money into your rig until it is comfortable to wheel. if it were mine and i was gonna keep it i would def start by going rear leafs, then offset wheels while searching for fullwidth axles

i couldnt believe it....... i can hardly get my truck in the garage and it handles way better, has to be either your coils or the top heaviness, prolly both......

leafs will help a lot.

F150's or 63's

and

I suggested a T100 rear axle (65" wms-wms)
and an FJ60 front (make it pass drop)

i think ANY leafs would help but id go chevy or f-150 since they are so easy to find replacements for, and you can find tons of pics and walkthroughs to study mounting

Dingman.

Thomas trade me your ford springs for my chevys..  :p

hey did you have to roate your perches?  i might wanna buy that ifs pickup rear axle you have so i don't have to strip all the brackets off the 4runner housing..

Thomas P

no my perches worked fine, give me some measurements on those chevies.....

no.. but im down........  probably ...

Actually i think rear leaf swap/bumper build is first

then we could go for that

Thomas P

im goin to bed, but if you wanna do a bumper, i can grab the HF bender from my father in law and you can get some sch 40 pipe....... research this technique i found it to be interesting and practical also cheap and reliable
