21kv gives less than an inch arc off the line with hand tools, but if you break a lot of load on the primary, watch out  :yikes:

the barehand class is 50kv, isn't it?

I'm not familiar with the barehand class. We can rubber glove 4kv off the pole, and I'm pretty sure everything higher has to be done out of a bucket or off a chopper :dunno:

yeah, the barehand is done in/around Los Banos IIRC.  It's out of a bucket.  He says the bucket mast/pole/shaft thing has like a reversed Eliabethan collar(the only way I can axplain it. The collar is what they put on dogs to keep em from licking wounds) around it, and from the ground, what looks like lightning will shoot down the mast and deflect off of the collar.

Electricity scares the hell out of me. Once I had a lamp above my bed that took a special smaller light bulb. It burned out, and I took the old one out and intended to replace it. I guess I turned on the switch at one point because one night I yawned and stretched and put my finger in the light socket. That freakin hurt!

Sorry dude, but thats just plain funny :headshake:

you're supposed to unplug the lamp, or replace the bulb immediately.  You can actually have a fire start if say.. a spider decides to make a web in the socket

Yeah, but I'm not that smart, DUH!

I'm not real smart with electrial, at home or on cars. When taking my electrical final for school, I kept getting tiny hints from the teacher because he liked me.

That's almost as funny as bouncing on your bed when you were a kid a forgot that you have a fan over your bed, and it's running.  I know of someone that did this, and you might know him too.

That's not as bad as I wondered how bad it would hurt and got hit in the head with the fan on low speed. Don't worry, I tried it out on my hand first. :gap:

As if you needed another reason to call me an Idiot.  I can personally speak on this one, but here is the sad part; I wasn't a Kid :screwy:   (You guessed it.   Another party in high school)  Didn't hurt, broke the fan, felt like a dumb :moon:

Have you ever done a pretty cool bog after pulling out a buddy's 85 4runner out of a mud hole, only to get out and shut your fingers in the door right afterwards? It freakin sucked. I ended up bleeding on the door and hood and my fingernail is black, but hopefully won't fall off.

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Given someone a hug and pressed a dog shock collar to their back?

I got the shock, but it was worth it to me to see his reaction :hahaha:

close, in hs, we had an ingition system display, we would turn it on so the distributor would spin, then ground the spark plug row to the case and then connect it to 12vs.... we would ask someone to turn it off, the switch was grounded... muahahaha.....

it was ok for us, because when we hooked it up or disconnected the 12v, the clammps were insulated
