Don't you just hate it when a turbo decides to disassemble itself on the living room floor.

I often wonder if Junichi Furuyama, chief designer of the first gen 4Runner, would approve of the things we do to his creation?  :headscratch:

Thanks.  Hopefully I have it positioned far enough in that it doesn't become a rock hanger on the side of the body and just low enough to not interfere with departure angle.

You could make it adjustable if you had your supports verticle then cut it in half and ad a tube with holes for adjustablilty....

OK, I took 4 inches out of the carrier legs and I like the way this sits MUCH better!

Had to extend the frame rail a little to space the tire properly.  There is just enough clearance to fit up to a 37 or 38 inch spare should I upgrade.  I think I want to find a slightly skinnier tire though.
Then got it all nice and primed.

No more spacers for the tank!
I used a piece of the old roll bar to make a notch for the fuel line.  The top part of the tube I cut off is welded back onto the bottom to double up the tube thickness...I may plate over it with a second piece as well...will see once it is all welded and ground down.

No rolling tire...nice thought, but no.

There should be plenty of clearance...I would scrape the shackle long before the tire.
