After I finally got the wrinkles wet sanded out of it the next coat went much better.  Since I did not have to sand it all down bare I figure this is a sign I should keep the color.

not sure what you are talking about, but if you mean do the sides not quite reach the frame rails you would be correct.  I had to space them out so they wouldn't interfere with the movement of the shackles.
it looks like it goes \ across the frame instead of _

:dunno:

I have no clue what you are talking about.
Maybe you draw on the picture for me?  The picture of the weld is looking up at the bottom of the frame rail if that helps.

This one I think he is talking about the one under the tank. It goes down hil under the tank so it looks like it is going back.

It is the one on the right.  I even measured to line it up str8.  The picture must be an optical illusion, but it still looks str8 to me.   :dunno:

OHHHHH!!! You are talking about that little front piece of galvanized angle!  That is just hanging from one side of the frame...yes that one is way /.  I just wedged it there to support the other side of the tank.  The real front brace isn't in yet.

Sorry about that!

edit:

Here is the front brace...that is today's project!

My welds have been fine in terms of strength, but getting flux core to look decent is a whole other trick.

I have no model info or anythng.  Bought it from a picture on for sale ad.  It has a foam insert instead of baffling.  it is from Jegs.  I will look.
