So the devil is in the detail, right?

Capped off the top of the oval tube and got the bottom contoured to match as well.

why did u use oval tube instead of rectangle ? the oval shape would make it harder to build anything off that bumper. im guessing u just used what u had.

1.  I wanted to reuse what I had from the bumper I took off.
2.  That is a cross-member, not the bumper.

I am hoping that the extra sticking up will help fill the gap between the frame and flatbed so you don't really see the fuel cell I am gonna mount back there.

The for sale thread on the tank is gone.  No pics till it gets here.  Mr WillMammoth thinks I am wasting money but it is a 15 gallon RCI cell with dual pickups and all the fittings.  Never used.  Shiny.

I found the one spot where it has rusted all the way through.  Guess I will have to fix it.  Making headway, dr side is clean.

I have no idea yet on the floor material.
I have thought about diamond plate...kinda heavy.
Thought about expanded steel and also doing a nice finished wood deck.

There is always aluminum diamond plate, just make sure you get the stiff type and it will work fine.

my bed was made of 1/8 and i still have to add protection around it because there is over hang.... i just got the fuel cell between the frame under the bed

its not shown in this pic though

the reason i got it was because it was in a scrap pile i wanted diamond plate for bling
