Decided to revamp my swaybar for on-road only so I upgraded to about a 7/8's bar and got to cutting and welding:

Also decided it was time to make some good beefy sway bar links cause the originals bent right quick...

Edit:  nice pic moron you put the bar on top of the black sticker so you can barely see it...arg.
Bottom is the new setup installed.

In my quest for a quieter grampaier ride I went ahead and added one of these to the end of the exhaust.  Final installation included trimming back the tailpipe and is much cleaner than this picture.

That is a SuperTrapp muffler.  They come in many flavors...this one just has the plates, no big shiny tip to go around them.  Small, tuneable, cheap...perfect.

Since it looks like it will be another week and a half till I get a chance to wheel I have decided to start a new project...
Wonder what I am up to?

Had to destroy the motor to finally get the rear window to roll down...thats OK though...tailgate is going going...GONE!
Started pulling everything out...she sure is low in the rear.

I have no clue what it is/was for, but it is def. spliced in, i.e. not original equipment.

MMMM...took her out for a photo session with her new look.  I figure I dropped about 100# off the rear and she is def sitting higher than before.  Either the truck needs less lift or I need bigger tires.

For the how-to the thread is here.

I am glad they upset you.

I have been kicking around ideas for some tube fenders, but I can;t really decide how I want to design em.

Since I have made the decision to get a tow rig (going to look at one tomorrow) I am changing direction a tiny bit.  You can all relax as the new plan includes ditching the fenders and replacing them with some toob (likely poop pipe).
After that I got to cutting off the crap under the rear quarters and started welding on a cap forthe bottom.  Damn rusat falls off faster than I can weld new metal on.

NEW TOY!  I knew there was no way I would get a decent weld on the inside of this patch panel...just not that great with the sheet metal...so I made some getto notches, bent up the tabs and...riveted!

This is as far as I got...I used some thin angle and riveted it to the existing window frame...
Yes that is galvanized, only thing the scrap yard had in the size I wanted.  No I won't be welding any of it, that is what the rivets are for.
