The plug has more than one path on the ground electrode, which increases plug life, and they claim the design of said electrode allows the flame kernel to travel straight down into the chamber.

We are going FORWARD again!!!
Head is all snugged back down with the new "super rice" plugs and a fresh head gasket.  I spent extra time cleaning the mating surfaces and I used a nice new bottle of Lucas Oil Stabilizer to lubricate the cam and rocker arms.  I am trying my best to get everything right this time cause I'll be damned if i am going to do this again!

Have I mentioned lately that the coolant line mounting to the bottom of the intake runners is the BANE of my existence!

Got some yummies in the pan...and a little before picture.

Wanna know what chaps my patooty...
I'm getting all the accessories back on the front of the engine and it occurs to me that something seems empty.  Then it hits me...no AC compressor.  It never occured to me before.  I just bought an OBA kit for the AC compressor off the board here.  Damn Ima idgit.  Guess I have to do a little thinkin bout that one.

Question:
The second bracket, like a triangular cradle, for the PS pump...is that necessary, I didn't reinstall it and I don't really think I need it.  Pump seems pretty solidly mounted with just the main box it mounts with.

I am proud to announce that at 7:14 PM Central time today, CTENG_Rig achieved LIFE!

Things I noticed that are good:
-new chain and newer valve springs are sooo much quieter than before.

Things I noticed that are bad:
-huge exhaust leak, I think from the collectore flange though.
-wit the removal of EGR valve, I have a bunch of vacuum lines I need to sort out.

Here is the mess it took to get to this point!

the front VSV controls idle up for the A/C system
the rear VSV controls fuel mixture when 4X4 is engaged to prevent detonation under load.....LOL
it sounds wierd, but I assure everyone it is true.

CTENG in KS

Yeah, the AC VSV is gone, as is the AC...I have the rear hooked up, but I broke the black knob off it.  I was just wondering if that is gonna be a big issue and if I should find another.

I drove the truck around the apt. complexe and it ran GREAT!
As proof here is a picture of it out of the garage this fine evening!

truck looks GREAT!

CTENG in KS

Maybe it will be ok then...it can just be an open hole?
Now it is time to clean the mess in the garage, then I am buying a generator so I can better run my new little stick welder.  Wahoo!  Thank the lord for overtime!
