I would be interested in doing it this weekend.  If you are POSITIVE that you are gonna do it this weekend, let me know, I will make the phone call to the land owner and make sure he will allow us on this weekend and then we can go.  I work 3rd shift so it would either have to be  Saturday after 2:00pm or Sunday about anytime, I am off on Sundays so I dont care about messing up my sleep too bad.

Let me know and I will make some phone calls.

...and once I extend the links about 4 inches I won't have to worry about tire rubbing the sway bar arms.

In order to make the arms clear in their new location I had to make a small adjustment, I think it really added to the look of the front end.  (ignore all the tools)

I got about 1/4 mile into my friggin test run and the timing chain started making the most horrific sound.  I turned around and sure enough, by the time I got to the garage the coolant was boiling.  Tomorrow I will be ordering a new timing chain kit, timing cover, and a new water pump.  sniff, I hate my truck right now.

After a grueling hour and a half in the hot-dark garage this evening I am about ready to pull the cylinder head off again.  I wanted to post up abut the LC Engineering EGR block off plate though...
I got these cause they were on sale last month for $17 and this is probably the nicest thing I ever bought for $17.
These things are cut perfectly, it comes with new hardware and everything...I can't believe the kit is that cheap.

I was a bit sad when I opened the cyl head cause it seemed pretty dirty...but I finally got it out to the garage and next tothe old one it is clean enough to eat off of!  This time I got a real good straight edge to check the deck and it is straight as an arrow.  I got the second piece of the EGR plates on...looks pretty!  On the second pic-the kit came with three plates and hardware for two.  Did later model intake plenums have a different shaped port and this kit covers all years, or is there another hole I need to plug?  In the first picture, what are the round coiled green things?  I have some from multiple gasket sets, but have no clue what they are.
Last question for now:  Do 22r(e) heads use cam bearings?

just looking over this thread for the pics of your sliders and came upon your traction bar and wanted to say that without a doubt if you dont brace the hell out of it your gonna rip off that entire crossmember its mounted too right off of the frame.  I've seen it happen on every truck setup that way

CTENG in KS

Werd..it will be gettin braced soon...getting the truck running has become first priority before I can get back to the welder.
