Well I dumped a pile of high temp clear coat on my valve cover and I am calling it good. :yesnod:

Well, I finished up my curved square tube...after starting to grind it down smooth I decided it was high time I got myself some ear protection...man what a headache.

...And gotta make a bigger mess before you can clean up, so off with the core support crossmember.  I will probably run a bracket from the original bumper mount to what is left of  that crossmember for a little extra radiator stability.

I started with a nice peice of 12"X12"X1/4"...and started marking the mounting holes, lines to trim, etc etc.  Right now I am staying pretty general as the only dimensions I have for the winch is the mount pattern.  Damn backorder.

Quick peek at the approach angle.  The mount plate will not extend that far, I will trrim 4-5 inches off, but not till I have the fairlead for measurements.

It takes quite a bit of patience to weld 1/4 inch to 1/4 inch wit a itty bitty 110V welder.  But never say die!

I think I will have to cut some more of that crossmember out to squeeze the winch in there.  Thats ok, you can see where I am going to tie the ousides of the bumper into the body mount.
