Three link plus panhard bar.

Got one just about finished up...gonna add a strap around the bushing tube and a pad up along the bottom for extra meat for rock scrapage.  Then I just need to make a duplicate and it is on to the axle.

They are all set an ready for paint.  Next up s the rear axle.  Gonna start with a brake refresh then pull the axle, clean, and truss it.  :_order:

so uhm...put some discs back there while it's out.

CTENG in KS

Nah, going inexpensive on this...only thing I am spending money on really is the joints.  Besides, I just fixed the E-brake, let me enjoy it for a minute!

The worst part of drum brakes is getting the damn drums off!  Toys and Nissans are the worst.

That reminds me, I need to check and adjust mine!

Mine came right off, just threaded bolts into the removal holes and off they came.

That's fine if you still got threads in the holes!  :tantrum:

I used to have to check brakes all the time at Les Schwab, and after a hour of fighting to get them off, the owner would say I tried to get them off before I came here!

You can use a tap if the threads are toast.  Don't even need the bolt, just keep threading the tap and the tap will push the drum off.

YOU COULD FOCUS MORE ON THE TASK AT HAND IF YOU SPENT LESS MONEY ON JOINTS....LOL

Thanks, they came out OK.  I was smart and found the right size square tube to make it easier instead of trying to build brackets out of flat plate.  That always takes too danged long.

I also forgot to trim the rear-most lower corners down...gonna flatten them so as they aren't so sharp.

OK, I am pretty pumped.  The frame brackets came out just how I had planned in my head.  I think this is the first time something I planned for this truck has worked out just the way I wanted.  I need to figure out how to get this to happen more often.   :yesnod:
