Didn't get too much done, I kept setting things on fire.  I guess that is a bad day.  I am moving forward now, cut the fender bars free and notched the forward supports so I could rotate them into alignment with the body line running along the lower panels.  Need to make a match on the other side still.

Driver side matches.  Needs a little adjustment, but that will come later.  Onward to the next step...which is...I....mmmm not sure yet.
I also think that my welder might be dying.  It is making a vibrating buzzing noise different from the normal fan and electric humm.  It has also started throwing breakers about once a day.  Two years out of a cheap welder I abuse might just be all I am ever destined to achieve.

Can't move on to the next big thing without buying 2 batteries and some steel and a compressor...so I decided to work on the rear suspension tonight.  Gusseted up the axle side bracket for the panhard bar.

I am really happy with this mounting plate.  I just put it on there tonight and it is going to make a bunch of things easier.  I have been doing mitre cut style notching with the portaband...now I can mark angles right on the plate to help guide me.

I hated the angled shock set up I had before, too much body roll.  With the new rear suspension I wanted to get the shocks mounted as far out as possible.  I decided, what the heck, how bout outside the frame.  I knew there was a reason I built those beefy lower links!  Too bad I am throwing breakers every three inches of weld now.  I think it is time to upgrade to a 220V mig...I don't think the 120V wiring in this place can handle the welder.

Started on the first section of the electronics rack.  It will stand upright like the first picture behind the drivers seat next to the batteries.  It holds the dual battery isolator and the 1500 W inverter.  It is positioned with the inverter plugs facing up for easy access.

Anything that draws less than 12.7 amps it says.  I am gonna run a compressor with aluminum tanks off it.  Some might run blenders?  :dunno:

I cna't decide between receiver hitch and just building it right into the new front bumper and hardwiring it to the truck.

just a little info from experience  try to mount the bottom of the shock as close to the axle as you can. my front shocks are mounted up the link a ways and the way it works is the further up the link the less  effective it will be so you could still end up with just as much if not worse body roll as you had.

Thanks for the tip...they are clamped on there pretty for up for the picture.  I have room and decent tire clearance so I think I can move them 4-6 inches closer to the axle than that.  I have to make the dr side mount first before I worry about the lower mount.

So, I thought I had some global warming in my garage tonight, but it turns out I set myself on fire again.  Anybody know of a work shirt that resists the burning better than this one?

I made a match for the rear shocks.

And I started on the e-rack.  Yep, thats right, I made a rectangle.  Bask in its glory.  What is really special is how perfectly planar my rectangle is.

I set myself on fire every other day.  I don't know how I do it, all I know is it gets real bright under the hood and I get real hot under the collar.  That is how I know I am on fire yet again.

Got the mounting brackets done...starting to get an idea for what it will look like.  I was able to use seat mount locations and fasteners at all brackets so no new holes or anything.

Had to get some picture in of the new battery mount that just arrived from RuffStuff.  Dual optimas, side-by-side.  Very nice quality.  Figured I would throw in the sticker since they are so nice.  Now that I have the mount points for the rack set, I can order up some Duraback and get ready to finish the interior floorpan.
