I got all my scrap to the scrap yard, cleaned up the garage, and purchased some big 6-ton jackstands.

Completed todays mission, axle removal.  Tomorrow and friday...axle cleaning!

Screw that noise...wire wheel and grinder.  Do the best I can and cover the rest with ten coats of paint.

That was not the most fun I have ever had, but sure enough, there was an axle under there.

Thanks Glen, but it really isn't that spectacular.  I am just trying some things, little ghetto, but OK not too bad.

Okey...all done with the upper bracket.  Gotta add a couple more braces to the truss, then on to coil and lower link mounts.

I got the last braces for the truss welded in and started mounting the coils.  I think I have it the way I want it.  Trying to figure the simplest way to do coil mounts and even leave the axle the ability to go back to leaves if needed.  I think this was creative utilization of washers...sometimes stacking is a good thing.

And those are genuine crawlerdan coils...BOIOIOIOIOIOIOING!!!!!!!!
