Other side welded in to finish the B-hoop...got a little gusset in there as well.

Couldn't get any farther cause I ran outt cut-off wheels.  Matched the pass side to dr side and set up the cross bar.  It is just sitting there, it will drop down to right above the windshield.  Little peek at just how close to the body everything is...looks like that gusset needs to be moved a leetle...oops. :turtle3:

Not if it is one with the body...Neither the sliders, nor the cage actually attaches to the frame.  It is all common to the body .

I dont understand the reason behind this.  :headscratch:  Sheetmetal isent a strong way to brace a cage because its going to crumple when that tube meets a rock , i think this will be a first..... :suprised:

In answer to your quandary...sheetmetal can be very strong, if it is loaded properly...this is the entire basis of large airframe design.

I think I am an idiot savant with the pipe kinker...this is a greater than 80 degree bend, barely any flattening.  1.5 inch schedule 40.

I switched to some .035 wire instead of 0.030...what a difference with the schedule 40...much nicer welds.

Nice rig man!  I have a set of boggers on my truck also, I noticed that the rear tread is running the opposite way as the font. Do you get better traction up front with your tires mounted that way??

don't know, haven't run with them like that yet...

Got some of the dr side cage cleaned up and painted.  Sure would have been better if I had a MWM to paint MY cage!

Also had a little visitor.  I rescued him to outside and he was so grateful he peed on my hand!

Wow...thats...interesting!  Did you get my PM?  Know of any trailers?  I need a trailer.

This is the last of it unless I have time to add a couple gussets later on...just have to get the other side to "match" and finish the paint.
Then on to the next task.  :turtle3: :turtle3: :turtle3:

Edit:  I forgot, there is going to be a big single plate gusset to turn that into a single big joint cause I was a little short on the pipe there and it don't look too purdy either.  But that's gonna be it.

I got it but not till I read this to see that you sent me one.  Sorry.

Sorry on my trailer, I got a buddy going to Katemcy Texas to wheel that same weekend and I already promised it to him.  I will keep checking for one you can borrow though.  I wish I were going to CA to the Marlin event.  I just cant afford the gas!!!

If I could find a gooseneck long enough we could take your rig too and you could split gas with me...but I don't think I could fit your whole familia!  :turtle3:

That would be awsome but the money does not permit this year.  I decided to go back to school starting August 20th and will be CRAZY busy for at least the next 2 years.
