yeah 7018 can act like that sometimes. I actually never passed a 70-series weld bead in school. Teacher kept telling me to use DC and I was like freaker I AM using DC! I've not screwed with it much since, but I still can't really run 7018 worth a . I can run 60-series on DC just fine though.

the rod i used today was a 7016... iv never even heard of it and it was weird, it felt like a cross between 7018 and 6013

ok sounds good to me i know it will be cold but that's the least of our worries wont be any colder than outside. plus i would imagine we would mainly be using it to just sleep/eat and we be doing the other fun stuff while we are wheelin.

Yeah. We need to get a heat source though. Its goign to be colder inside the cabin then outside. It always is.

that's a great idea only prob is i dont know anyone with one... what we need is one of those jet engine heaters that runs off kerosene  that drywallers use.

My grandpa has two of those but theyre pieces of crap so we cant use em. We need one of those heaters that run off 5 gallon propane tanks that put off like 50,000BTU's

yeah i remember talking to your dad too, there was another guy right down from me in an even worse spot. i got out allright it was just the little trees that got me,
and yeah i do need the 30 spline im done with these stupid stock birfs. ill try to come up next weekend i should be free.

im not sure yet i was originally planning on putting a 3.4 because im pretty over not having power (not as much for wheeeling but being a dd), im also gonna put some tons under it and was thinking about linking the rear. i have Endless stuff that's gonna go down in about a half a year, and when it comes to doing to my truck that's no prob i have lots of motivation since its pretty much the only thing im really into, it just comes down to waiting till im done with this welding program then get a job. once im making some good money im gonna seriously build the living out of it. and what you were talking about once i get full widths im going to get 4.7s and hydro assist. im not gonna worry about the diffs since ill have power. ill have a selectable in the rear and probably just weld the front.

go ill go with 40's or 42 for wheelin but ill prob have a set of 35's for the street. the prob with going full width is if you don't run big tires you will get hung up left and right on the diffs. plus if the axle can handle them they im all down for a bigger tire. its funny how you get so use to looking at 37s and how they look hella small but there still a huge tire to an average person.

when I went to the high lakes this last sunday, there was an 85 ext cab on 54" boggers! that was the first time I felt my truck was TINY!!!!!

ya  i fully feel the same. when i got my truck a few years ago and it came with 33's i was like...all i need is 35's thats plenty big. it was scary to even think about wanting 37's but not i look at my 37's and they dont even stoke me out anymore. its really trippy though couse if i go on a 2 week vacation without seeing my truck, and then i come back home and see it in the driveway.. it looks hella bad ass again, and actually looks huge.

if i were going to build an axle fully it would not be a D60, think blinger like a 609 or something, its just the D60/14Bolt is cheap.

A friend of mine just built his own 609.  I think he said he only lost about 3/4" of clearance going from his Toyota front.  I'll go find some pictures.
