i didnt make a bracket at all, and i didnt want to cut the bracket off my bench seat, since i may use it later.  The rear, outer bracket on the civic seats does work perfectly with the hole in the floor.  The 2 front brackets are close to the stock holes, but i just redrilled new ones instead of straining to make them work.  There are 2 inner rear bracket flanges, but i left them alone, since i had a bench originally, and there was no hole (that i know of) for those.  All in all i was surprised how well they lined right up..I didnt want to make a whole angle-iron adapter and stuff like ive seen.

so i changed the oil and stuff today, fixed my front shock for the 3rd time, and got to thinking about some sort of canvas topper ideas.  Ive always wanted something and i tried out using the back of my cab that i had cut out....might as well recycle right?  Anyway, heres some broomstick engineering to get a little idea of what im considering.

I would build a lightweight frame and incorporate this back piece as a flip up rear window... then cover it with some waterproof canvas with sides that can be rolled up.  Whatduya think?

Alright...its ambitious list time!

1. Build/modify interior cage
2. Make patch panels to finally seal extra cab portion...maybe layer on bedliner to ensure its water tight back there
3. Glaze and finish sanding/smoothing roof joint
4. Trim and roll front fenders
5. Make interior panels for rear section, carpet, etc.
6. Depending on interior cage result, carry downtubes out into bed and redo shock setup with small bedcage.
7. Relocate lights from front bumper to removable lightbar (already built) and figure out plating/mounts for a pillar to accomodate.
8. New tires
9. Find out where to get a gallon of Pyrite Mica to shoot whole truck with...AWESOME COLOR
10. Actually accomplish at least 2 things from this list.

Seriously I seem to have neither time nor money at all these days, so don't bust my balls if this post is the last update i make this summer lol.

Well I got ripped a new one at swamp 2 weekends ago:

Tried going in at night, picked a few bad lines, scraped and bent up my rear DS, dented tank, shredded right rear tire on the way in, and my spare while I was backtracking out with my tail between my legs. Met a cool guy in Shaver the next day who helped us out with a tire and I drove home (going about 45mph).

Also built a lightbar...It was pretty challenging coming up with a mount for the a-pillars. Came out stronger than i expected....bombed all the fire roads pretty good up by bald and swamp and it didnt move at all.

Well I think something gave out in my tranny, possibly the front input bearing, idk... basically sounds like a knocking somewhere in the drivetrain, that kinda matches the idle speed. The fact that it changes depending on the gear I put it in, as well as that putting the transfer cases in neutral doesn't alleviate it, makes me think its the tranny. When it first started doing it, i would just barely creep forward and the whole drivetrain kinda popped as the ds would turn. Havent driven it since, just disconnected the rear ds to make sure it wasnt rear diff related; it aint.

Any one ever have similar symptoms? Its gonna be a long while before I can even tear into it.

I'm knee deep in adding hydro-assist to my truck. Instead of modifying the stock reservoir I picked this up off an old BMW:

Its about the same diameter as the stocker, but 3 times taller:

Anyone have any objections to running this?  Also, with the added capacity, is it a big deal to switch the return line with the feed line? My thought is they're just coming and going from the same place, and the Beemer resi has a larger barb for the return than the feed (which I thought was kind of weird).

Also FYI I am going to plug or loop those extra two barbs, so that's not an issue.
