thats so awesome... and what i think is cool is that when you only have one other person, you can still fold the 4runner rear seats flat and have a place for more stuff.

the quad cab is really looking good man... is the bed gonna be removable or are you gonna weld it to the cab for like a 4runner looking deal?

I haven't been able to work on it too much lately, but have gotten something done between the body filler and sanding of the other project

decided on my bed cut, no bob or dove, just a trim and cap

still have to trim the cab side of the rear fenders

Little bit of prerunner inspiration on that bedcut? I love it... ive always liked that look but it always looks hacked off and unfinished.... That is until Talon comes along and does it.

Finally got my side project done and will get to start working on this thing again tomorrow.

half doors I made for a friend: 1st gen doors w/cup holders, relocated latches, and removable panels for the interior
also moved that body line at the top of the door where the latch is back and smoothed it all out

and the ford tank i picked up, out of a '93 f-150. Extended the frame back out just a little bit and cross member replaced

going to get the tank mounted solid tomorrow and lines ran, then it's on to mounting the bed and body work

It isn't flush with both, i'm going to get it as close to the floor of the bed as possible and see how far it hangs down below the frame. When I get it mounted tomorrow i'll take some better shots of where it ends up and how it sits in relation to the rails. I did a rough measurement and i believe it's approx. 19 gallons.

What did you get yours out of. I am going to start a Formula 4 Ftoy and I was thinking of using the ford tank to maximize my rear cargo area. Looking forward to the pictures of how it sits in the frame. Any way you could post those measurements?

Looking forward to the pictures of how it sits in the frame. Any way you could post those measurements?
The measurements are only approximate, not taking into account for the rounded corners, ribs & indents, etc. but do not include the pinch seam all the way around the tank:
33" wide and 25" long
5" deep at one end and 7.5" deep at the sender end
and here is a link to the stock replacement tank for the same year: http://www.jcwhitney.com/replacement-gas-tanks-for-cars-and-trucks/p2005688.jcwx?skuId=148972&filterid=c2034d19344y1993j1

let me know if that helps, or if you need different shots

here are the pics of it mounted plus the lines

it will get a cage/skid plate below the tank

First of all - awesome work, it looks sweet

Still need to trim the fenders, slope the bottom edge behind the wheel, and maybe a dove (still debating that one)

Second, don't dove it - it looks good as it sits and i'm sure you're going to want the room in the bed

thanks, and it is staying as is i do want the bed space. I'm thinking of turning the besides into tool boxes like you see on some new full size trucks like this one:

got a little bit done, finished cleaning the sender up and re-worked the float so it wouldn't read backwards

and some work on the rear doors, they're just pieced together in these pictures trying to figure them out
